Unveiling the Curse

Chapter -4

As Jungkook's brothers arrived at Jin's apartment, they were greeted with a mixture of relief and concern written on their faces.

"Jungkook, are you feeling alright? Do you need anything?"Yoongi asked concern as he patted his head.

" My baby, you really are fine right !" Taehyung hugged him.

Jungkook smiled weakly "I'm fine, hyungs."

"We're here for you, Jungkook. Don't hesitate to ask if you need anything hmm."Jimin said while placing a comforting hand on Jungkook's shoulder.

Jungkook smiled at him.

Suddenly the door opened and Hoseok entered through it, a look of apology etched on his face for his late arrival.

He quickly walked up to Jungkook with open arms for a hug. But Jungkook, stepped back.

Everyone looked confused at Jungkook's reaction.

"Jungkook, what's wrong?" Hoseok asked pausing in his tracks, his brow furrowing with concern.

"I... I'm sorry, hyung. I'm just....I am sorry."
Jungkook said voice was tinged with hesitation . But he hugged Hoseok.

Jin sat near Jungkook as he asked"What happened, Jungkook? Are you okay?"

Jungkook takes a deep breath and looks at his hyungs "Do you all believe me?"

"Of course, we believe you."

"Okay, then I'll tell you everything...." Jungkook said as he tells them everything that happened.

"That sounds like a nightmare. I swear, I never came to your apartment like that."Hoseok said.

"I know hyung, but it felt so real and terrifying."

Jin hugs Jungkook "We'll figure this out together, Jungkook. Don't worry."

"It does sound strange."Taehyung said.

"We should go to the hospital and talk to a therapist about this."Namjoon suggest.

"I'm not crazy, I don't need a therapist!" Jungkook's tears welling up in his eyes.

Yoongi holds Jungkook's hand as he said "Of course you're not, Jungkook. We just want to make sure you're okay after fainting."

"I don't know..."Jungkook said hesitated.

"We believe you, Jungkook. We're just worried about your health."Jimin said as he pats Jungkook's shoulder.

"We'll support you no matter what, Jungkook."

"Okay, let's go to the hospital then."Jungkook agrees.

Jin and Yoongi decided to accompany Jungkook to the hospital, knowing it would be less crowded if only a few of them went. The others agreed to stay back at home.

As they arrived at the hospital and found it to be a little crowded. So they were asked to wait. They took a seat in the waiting area.

A few moments later Jungkook excused himself, mentioning that he needed to use the restroom, and assured Jin and Yoongi that he would return shortly. They nodded at him and he went.

Upon exiting the restroom and heading back to the waiting area, Jungkook noticed a boy sitting near the door he looked the same age as him.
Jungkook approached him and asked "Hey there, are you okay?"

"No, I miss my mom."The Boy sniffled.

Jungkook sits down beside him  "I understand. It's tough being away from your mom, but I'm sure she'll be back soon. In the meantime, I'm here with you."

The boy looked up at Jungkook with teary eyes "You really think so?"

"Absolutely. You're not alone, okay? If you need anything, just let me know."

"Thank you..." The Boy slowly calmed down.

"No problem. Hang in there, buddy." Jungkook said offering a comforting smile. " I am
Jungkook, By the way."

"I am Siwon."

" That's a cute name."

The boy smiled at Jungkook's complement. A few seconds later the boy looked at Jungkook and asked."What do you think about death?"

Jungkook was taken aback by the unexpected question.  "Um, well, I think... it's a part of life. It's something that happens to everyone eventually, so... we shouldn't dwell on it too much."

"But what if it's painful?" He asked.

Jungkook paused for a second as he was unsure how to respond. "I... I don't know. I guess it depends... But, um, let's not worry about that right now, okay?"

"Yeah, you're right. I was just curious. Thank you for talking to me." Siwon smiled softly.

"Of course, anytime. Hang in there, Siwon."Jungkook return the smile.

"Thanks. I'll wait here like my mom told me to. She said she'll be back soon."

"Okay, take care then. I'll see you around."
Jungkook said with a final nod as He bid farewell to Siwon, leaving him to wait for his mom's return.

Jungkook made his way back to where Jin and Yoongi were waiting. They both breathed a sigh of relief at the sight of him, grateful that he was back safely. ( Yah he just went to the restroom, but they are overprotective you know)

"Are you feeling okay, Jungkook?" Jin asked, his voice filled with concern.

Jungkook nodded, offering them a reassuring smile. " Hyung I just went to the restroom."

" Alright alright...sit here." Yoongi pulled him near him.

As they were waiting in the waiting area, they heard a cry echoed through the corridor. It was a  heart wrenching cries of a grieving mother pleading desperately with the doctor and nurse.

"Please, you have to bring back my son! He can't be gone, he can't..."

"I'm so sorry, but your son has passed away. It's been over an hour. You need to try to let go." The Doctor  gently but firmly tried to make her understand.

"No, no, I can't... he is  my baby, he is all I have..." The mother sobbed uncontrollably.

"I know this is incredibly difficult, but you need to give yourself time to grieve. We're here to support you. It's been one hour since his death let him go." The nurse said as the medical staff solemnly wheeled the stretcher carrying her son's lifeless body towards the elevator.

As the stretcher passed by Jin, Jungkook, and Yoongi, the grief stricken mother caught sight of them as she rushed over to his son and  clutched her son's lifeless form.

    "Siwon... my baby..." She sobbed.

Jungkook's heart pounded in his chest as he struggled to process the horrifying truth. The lifeless body lying before him was none other than Siwon, the young boy he had spoken to just minutes ago.

His mind raced with confusion and fear, How ? If Siwon was dead an hour ago how did he talk to him a few minutes ago.

Suddenly Jungkook felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to see Siwon standing behind him, a gentle smile playing on his lips. His breath caught in his throat as he struggled to comprehend the impossible sight before him.

Siwon got closer to Jungkook's ear and wishperd

   "I forgot to tell you before... I am dead."
