CHAPTER 1: THE MEET CUTE
SANIA'S POV:
I couldn't help but reminisce about my life back in London as I glanced at the friendship bracelet my best friend Maitre gave me before I decided to pack up life there and accept a job offer from Virat Bhai a.k.a the only one I can call my family now to work for BCCI in Mumbai. The bustling streets of Mumbai, the cacophony of sounds and the vibrant colors assaulted my senses once again. It was a stark contrast to the serene calm of London, but it was precisely this energy that drew me to India in the first place. Then I realised I don't have time to sit and dwell on the past because I have to interview a cricketer tonight at the BCCI Sports Gala and I really cannot mess up my first gig at my new job. Sandy! Shubman Gill was the cricketer I was supposed to interview, I had seen quite a bit of talk around him in the media with outlets naming him - The king of hookups or The new hot guy In B-town. However I have been in this industry long enough to not judge a celebrity by their media portrayal because it's unreal how people would make shallow remarks and surface rumours just to get those fifteen seconds of fame.
So I prepared what I think is a decent question list for the interview and decided to shop for an outfit to wear tonight because I have not a clue where 90% of my stuff is the shipping company is really getting on nerves with their terrible service. Finally I felt satisfied with my preparation, so I got dressed up and decided to leave for the venue. I was excited for this new journey but a touch of anxiousness lingered.
