My name is Persephone. I am a 16 year old girl. I am about 5 feet and 4 inches. Im slowly getting taller, but not as fast as I want. I'm starting a new school year today and I really hate school. I'm one of those "beautiful" ones in the school, according to most people anyways, and I get hated a lot by the females for that. Whether it's jealousy or just plain a-holes, I don't know. So I tend to distance myself from the crowd, so that I avoid any crazy girl attacking me. Trust me, it happened once in kindergarten. Ugh, let's see what more is in store for me today.
I woke up at 7:30 in the morning. As usual, I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to take a shower. As I take off my clothes, I look in the mirror. Damn, they grew bigger, I thought. I went into the shower and turned on the water. The cold water came on and I shrieked. Dang it, what a way to start the day.
I got out of the shower at around 7:55 and wore my blue underwear. Blue is my favorite color, after all. I put on my school uniform, which consists of a gray vest, a white shirt, checkered red and black skirt, and a red tie. I walk into the kitchen and open the fridge. I take out a yogurt. That'll have to do for breakfast.
I walk out of the house and plug in my earphones. I put the buds in both ears and listen to music. I walk down the sidewalk, as I am greeted by my neighbors. I have to take out the earphones and greet them. Why do you talk to someone with earphones in their ears? I don't understand. I keep walking and approach the intersection. I take a quick glance at both ends of the street and start crossing. I hear a faint yelling, but it's probably the song I'm listening to.
Suddenly, I am pushed so hard I fall on my butt onto the concrete really hard. My poor bottom half. "What the hell," I cursed. I look up and see a boy who is wearing the boy's uniform of my school. He had spiky, black hair. I couldn't believe this guy actually pushed me. What is his intention?
That's when I realized that he tried to help me. The bike fell on him and he fell to the ground. There was blood around him. He hit his head, hard. I couldn't say anything and I was scared. I was shaking and couldn't move. My mind was blank. With wide eyes, I saw the paper boy and a few people running towards the scene. I just sat there in pain and horror.
A few minutes later, the ambulance came and took the boy on the stretcher. They drove away until all I could hear were the blaring sirens. The neighbors approached me and lifted me to my feet. I couldn't hear what they were saying. I just stood there in shock and all I could feel were the tears rolling down my face.
