[20th December, so the next day]

Osamu woke up and got dressed for school. He overslept so not seeing Rintarou on the couch didn't make him wonder. He probably already went to class.

But when Osamu got to class, Rin wasn't there. Maybe he was on the toilet or maybe he had to talk to another teacher. Who knows.

In fact Rintarou woke up a few minutes after Osamu, covered in snow.

R- Oh god what happened yesterday?

He stood up and cleaned down the snow from his clothes. He felt so sick so he sat back down. There were a few missed calls and messages on his phone. A teacher wrote him, asking where he was and that just stressed him.

He told the teacher that he lost his key to the dorm so he fell asleep outside in the cold. And that he was covered in snow and that he was feeling sick. After that he slowly started to walk back to the dorm. When he finally arrived he went to take a shower.

Bus he was way too weak so he collapsed in the shower. He turned off the water and crawled out. After putting on some warm clothes he laid down on the couch and fell asleep. The teacher read the message and was worried, so he told Osamu to leave a key in front of the dorm door.

After the schoolday was over and Rin still wasn't in any lessons and the key was still outside Osamu started to worry too. Maybe he should have just looked for him the day before. Osamu entered the dorm and went into the living room. For his luck he saw Rintarou sleeping on the couch. He put his hand on Rintarous forehead and felt his temperature.

O- He definitely has a fever..

He made some tea and put a cup on the table in front of the couch. Then he woke up Rintarou.

R- "Hm.. what?"

O- "You're getting ill so I made some tea for you, here on the table."

R- "Mhm thanks."
He coughed.

O- "Do you need anything else?"

R- "No, I'm fine."

O- "If you say so.."

R- "Yeah."

O- "If you need anything I will be in my room."

R- "Why are you being so nice?"

O- "I am not a monster. Just because I don't like you doesn't mean I can't be here for you when you need someone by your side."

R- "So you don't like me?"

O- "What? We have never liked each other. Man you really are sick. Just sleep."

Poor Rinny had hope. But why didn't Osamu just admit it? He had to get the hints that Rin gave him. But actually he didn't. He never does.

R- "Yeah right, I was joking."

O- "I hope so."

R- "Can you just leave me alone now.."

Osamu didn't need to be told twice. He went into his room and gave his brother a call. Renting about how stupid he is for saying that but he feels so stupid because he has to hate Rintarou. After all these years of not liking each other it can't just turn into love. What would that be like for their classmates and the volleyball team.

Everyone would be happy.

Osamu went to check on Rintarou every hour. Only after Rintarou fell asleep Osamu didn't check on him anymore. But at some point he had a weird feeling so he went to check on Rintarou only to see that he wasn't on the couch anymore.
