Narrator pov. Continuing at Tropical Land~

The sound of yelling and fast heavy footsteps immediately woke Nashi up, thanks to her instincts usually associating that sound with her parents coming back into the house which forces her awake to avoid punishment.

She groaned a little sleepily before opening her eyes and looking around, remembering where she was and what happened, then she saw the source of the footsteps, who turned out to be a group of police officers who also had their flashlights on.

'I'm alive...' was the first thing she thought to herself before she looked up at the police officers, hope in her eyes, 'But I finally found the police... I can finally get those two out of my life... And there's also the men who gave us that failed drug...'

The police officers were talking about how they found two people who they thought were dead before finding out that they were alive, obviously talking about Nashi and Kudo, and now they had their attention on her as she sat up. She hadn't noticed her clothes yet.

She went to open her mouth but the officer in front of her beat her to it as he held out a hand and said, "Careful. Don't strain yourself. Can you stand up, little girl?"

That last question made her close her mouth shut in surprise as she blinked, 'Huh? Did he just call me a...?'

That was when she realized how her clothes felt looser than earlier, which made her look down and finally notice how her clothes were baggy and looked like they were ten times her size all of a sudden.

She blinked in confusion before she raised her hand and froze.

Her hand, it was the wrong size, this little hand she was looking at was hers back when she was a kid.

A little girl. Not a high schooler.

She raised her other hand to make sure before she mumbled, "No way..." noticing that even her voice changed. It was more high-pitched.

Actually, she realized that even the officers looked taller and bigger than they should be if she was still her actual height.

She gaped.

'I... I shrunk back to a kid? But how? That should be impossible... Unless...'

That drug... It was untested on humans from what the silver-haired man said, right?

'It's the only explanation that would somewhat make sense...' she thought to herself in realization.

She got shrunk back to a kid by that drug.

Before she could think about it more, another officer exclaimed, "Oi, the boy is waking up!" which reminded Nashi that she wasn't alone and she looked over.

Kudo, who also shrunk since he was a kid now too, started to stir and sit up as the officer who spoke held a hand out for him, saying basically the same thing the other officer said to Nashi, the only difference was that he called Kudo a little boy.

Kudo as expected blinked in confusion but...

'Something is off.' Nashi thought to herself, 'He doesn't just look confused, he looks lost. In fact, he's not looking at the officer directly, but at the flashlight which should hurt his eyes but he's looking at it as if it's nothing...'

Actually, speaking of his eyes, she was sure they weren't this... hazed out before when they looked at each other earlier.

'Wait... Hazed-out eyes?' she remembered how she thought the hit he got on his head sounded worse than hers, along with how he was losing more blood than her...

'A more serious hit on the head... Hazed-out eyes... Doesn't look directly at the officer in front of him and looks lost...' her eyes widened in realization, 'Don't tell me... Is he?' 

Before she could think of a way to confirm it, she was pulled out of her thoughts when the officer in front of her picked her up and carried her easily, she noticed that the other officer did the same with Kudo

"For now, let's get their heads treated at the police box before asking them anything." said the officer that was carrying Nashi to which the other officers, including the one carrying Kudo, agreed before they started walking while carrying the two.

Nashi glanced at Kudo worriedly as they were carried, who wasn't looking at her but blinking and trying to look around, he even stared at the shoulder of the officer carrying him in lost confusion, as if he was wondering what or who was carrying him.

 She sighed silently and looked back ahead to see where the police box the officers were taking them to was.

AN: Done! I hope you guys liked it!

Well, looks like Nashi figured it out faster than Shinichi did, though it looks like Shinichi himself was now in even worse trouble.

I wonder how this would turn out for both of them. Don't you? :3
