I wrote this as a tribute to our brave soldiers out there and their braver families, their wives, mothers and husbands in particular. I believe that nothing we do can ever ever ever be enough to repay the debt we owe them.
Hush, my love, stay right there,
I won't be gone forever.
This ain't my choice, it kills me too,
But I have to fight, fight for you,
Or else all this will be over.
Hush, my love, keep that smile,
Don't ever let it fade.
Your eyes are my strength, your laughter too,
And so is the sway of your long braid.
Hush, my love, I'll be back,
Where else can I go?
I'll come back to my free country,
Where you can go to sleep peacefully at night, and not fear any foe.
