The moon never was the priority of the sun.

"The moon isn't the sun's priority.

It never was. The Earth is.

The moon needs the sun to shine. And the Earth needs the sun to live. That's why the sun seems to care only about the planet.

But, every once in a while, sometimes twice a year, when the time is right, when the moon misses too much the sun, she stands in the way between the sun and the Earth, just wanting to be seen. Just wanting the sun for herself.

Fully themselves, they spend some time together. So full, so complete. They even seem to be one when we look in the right direction.

All the moon can feel is they're at home. At peace. Safe.

But soon. Too soon, the moon has to go to let the sun shine again on Earth. So the moon leaves.

But this time, it was different. The moon cried stars, whispering to the sun:

"Please, I've missed you... Don't let me go."

But they couldn't stay together. The moon never is and never will be the sun's priority.

So, as the moon leaves, the sun starts to shine again, while the moon sits and stays in the darkness, admiring the sun from afar. So cold, so alone.

This isn't about the sun and the moon."
