You tried not to let the panic settle in at the fact he might break up with you over this, you knew he took his job very seriously..and something like this would damage him and his reputation

Your eyes casually scanned his figure as the accuser spoke, you didn't even listen, you knew it was nonsense

He spoke, the rain still coming down heavy

You spoke back, looking up at him with a sad smile, following the escort down into the Fortress, shivering a bit from the cold
