It is 1933, It is summer. Alison and Jem was with a boy named Dill. He has came to Maycomb for the holidays. Dill is staying with his aunt. He is 15 years old. Dill always tells Alison and Jem interesting stories. There is a house on the same street as the Finch's.The Radley family live in that house. One member of the Radley family is called Boo. The children are fascinated by him. They have never seen him. All the children are scared of Boo Radley. Who is Boo Radley? His real name is Arthur Radley. When he was a teenager Boo got involved in a gang.

They did bad things. The gang was arrested. Boo's family was angry with him. As a result, they do not allow him to go out of his house. Some people say at night Boo walks alone outside and even the streets. Alison, Jem and Dill think Boo was crazy. They want to see him. All the time they talk about him. Even they are frightened of Boo. He lives in an old house. Dill asks Jem if he would dare and touch the Radley's house. He runs to the house and quickly touches it.

Boo Radley does not come out. It is September, Dill has gone home. Jem is going to graurate collage. Today is the last special day of school. Alison does not like her teacher. Her teacher name is Miss Fisher. She is not nice, Miss Fisher is always shouting at the students. There is a boy in Alison. His name is Walter Cunningham. He is very poor. Miss Fisher does not like him because he is poor. Alison likes Walter's fault he is poor. Miss Fisher shouts out at Alison at lunchtime. Alison and Walter have a fight, Walter did not want Alison to anything to Miss Fisher. Jem stops the fight, He tells Alison that she should not fight with Students. Jem invites Walter to come to their house for dinner after school gets out in the afternoon. Miss Fisher shouts out at a boy named Burris Ewell. She says he is dirty and smells.

Alison's third day, at school was not good. She did not like her teacher and she had a fight with a student. Alison does not like school, it is boring. She is walking home from school thanking to her self, there is a tree outside the Radley's house. Alison can see some chewing gum in a hole in the tree. She takes the chewing gum.

Alison tells Jem, Later he also goes to the tree. Jem finds some old golden coins in the hole. Jem and Alison are happy, they do not know who is putting these gifts in the hole in the tree for them. Who could it be?

It is 1934,
The school holidays have begun. Dill returns to Maycomb, Alison and Jem are happy to see him. The teenagers continue to talk about Boo Radley. They are still fascinated by him. One day, Atticus discovers that his kids may be troubling Boo. He is angry, Atticus tells his Alison , Jem and Dill about Boo Radley. He tells them to leave Boo alone. One of Alison's friends called Miss Maudie. She is a very kind and nice lady. miss Maudie tells Alison about the Radley family. Jem and Dill have a plan, they want to give Boo Radley a note.

Dill and Alison Will watch and Jem will put the note in the Radley's mailbox. Atticus catches them, he is angry. Atticus tells the teens again that they must leave Boo alone. It is Dill's last evening in Maycomb. Tomorrow he has to return to home. Dill and Jem want to see Boo. They decide to go to his house at night. Alison goes alone with them then Walter comes up to her and ask her well you go out with me. Then Alison said yes! Then Walter left. It is very dark the teens are in Boo Radley's
garden. It is very quiet and chili there is no lights on the house. Suddenly, they see a shadow in one room. The teens are frightened. They ran away, as they are claiming over the fence Jem's jeans got caught. He has to take them off. Alison and Dill are laughing because Jem lost his jeans.

Later on when Jem goes to get his jeans they are neatly folded on the fence. Someone had kindly left them so Jem could come get them. Jem and Alison find more gifts in the tree. They will write a letter to boo. They want to say
Thank you for putting gifts in the tree.

One day, Alison and Jem notice that the hole in the tree has been filled with
Cement. Boo Radley's brother did this. He told Alison and Jem that he filled the tree with cement because it was ill.
He did this because he wanted his brother to stop giving gifts to Alison and Jem. It was winter, it is snowing. This is the 17th time Alison seen snow.She is very excited about getting an A on her report card that came in the mail. Jem makes a snowman. At night Alison suddenly wakes up.

She can hear a lot of noise. Miss Maudie's house was on fire. The teens went outside and watch the firemen. It is very cold. Alison does not know but someone puts a blanket around her. Who have been so kind to do this?
Atticus tells his daughter that is Boo Radley who put the blanket around her. Alison and Jem thought that Boo Radley was a crazy man. They thought he was evil but he turned out to be very kind. Jem and Alison not seen Boo Radley. They do not know what he looks like.
