Oneshot (NON-CON)Vampire AU
—
Regulus ran faster than he's ever ran in his life. He didn't know he was walking right into vampire territory. In fact he didn't even know he was talking to vampires ten minutes ago. Now he was very painfully aware.
"This is our area, get out." The man spat, two other men standing behind him. "You don't own the city." Regulus had stated, trying to walk around the trio. Regulus was usually cold with his words, but the fact that this man thinks he owns this city just rubs him the wrong way.
"We run things around here, and if you don't move your ass out we will hunt you down." The threat did startle Regulus a bit. But at the same time, who does this man think he is? Regulus has been living in this city since he was young. He's never been to the west side of the city —where he decided to venture now— and he regrets it, realizing this fact when these men start taking slow and anticipating steps towards him.
Regulus decided to keep up the unbothered and tough act. "So scared." He rolls his eyes. The man huffs in annoyance at the disobedience. He starts scarily cracking his knuckles. "Last warning, turn around and leave." He grumbles. Regulus glares at him and ignores the initial fear and want to run. But he doesn't want to look like a pussy.
But he really wants to leave. So he slowly starts back up while keeping a confident stance. The man didn't seem to like how slow he was going. "Get him." He growled. The two others behind him started closing in on Regulus. Before the panic could really settle in, Regulus had turned around and started running. He heard some shouts from behind him but didn't turn back, busy with trying to get himself out of the shit he got himself in.
He ran for what felt like hours before finding a forest and deciding to hide in the trees. He had definitely lost them by now, running and taking twists and turns for so long definitely made them confused.
Nope. It in fact made them even more eager and sure they were going to catch him. For some reason the trio of men were now very keen and persistent on capturing him. Regulus ran as fast as he could, every breaking stick and crunching leaf making him cringe. He found a little clearing with a small cave and didn't think twice before scooting himself into the small space.
It was dark and Regulus' mind was telling him that spiders were crawling around him but he didn't move a muscle, more determined to stay undetected. It was a small space and he curled up into a ball, waiting. His heavy breathing was the only sound heard, other than chirps of distant birds but he cut his breathing short when he heard footsteps crushing leaves and dirt. He tried to catch his breath as quietly as he could and listened intently for any signs that the predator was getting closer.
His fear was fulfilled as he heard foot steps at least ten feet away and he was starting to breath heavy again. He breathed through his mouth to avoid any noise and looked out through the opening to see shoes not so far away. Please don't find me, please don't find me, please don't find me.
Regulus really didn't want any trouble, he just wanted to tease the man because he seemed so arrogant. And now it seemed as he was running for his life. Although he really doubts the guys will kill him, he's still filled with fear to the brim. The guy walks a little closer before seemingly giving up with the area and walking away, breaking into a run after walking a bit. Regulus could tell by the fast stomps that slowly dissolved.
He let out a relieved breath and waited a few more minutes before inching out of his hiding place. He took a few hesitant steps before taking off in the opposite direction one his pursuers went. He passed many trees, not stopping to wonder if he'd already passed them and kept running away from where he knew danger was.
