what the hell is she talking about? " mom..what do you mean I wouldnt be here right now" i asked bringing my voice two octaves lower. Whats going on?

she once again wiped away her tear streaked face, and then looked at me, with a look of ....guilt? why is she guilty?

" honey there is something important that i need to tell you, you have to listen because i can barley say it once" she said voice quivering a bit. I nodded my head indicating that I was ready. Here we go.

“ You were just an infant. You were very sick. I thought it was just a little cold that would eventually pass by, but it didn’t. I couldn’t afford enough money to get you the medicine that you needed, so the only options that I was left with were to either take you to a doctor or let you suffer, of course I wouldn’t let you suffer, I could never do a thing like that to my baby, so I chose the option to let a doctor see what you had.” she inhaled a deep breath, I held her hand to comfort her, or at least try to. She then began to speak again “I had been driving you to the hospital, on the way there it was pouring down rain, and I could barely see 3 feet in front of me. You had been crying in the backseat I tried to settle you down, but nothing was working. I had been at a stoplight, and it had just turned green, as I was driving I looked back at you for just one second, and that’s all it took for it to happen” she paused to compose herself, before continuing, but before she continued in my mind I thought ‘ what could have possibly been that bad to keep from me for all of these years?’. I listened to what she had to say next “when I looked back at the road, a car went right through a red light and smashed right into us. I had been bleeding very badly, but I wasn’t really worrying about myself, because I was to busy worrying about you. I was worrying if you had survived the awful crash, which obviously you did , but you wouldn’t have if it weren’t for that man….” she said trailing off, “mom! Mom! Hellooooo. Continue!” I said while snapping my fingers in front of her dazed face. She flinched startled, and blinked a couple of times. “ sorry about that honey” she cleared her throat” right…the man.. Well I had been trying ot get out of the now crushed car, and when I did I noticed a male figure standing in front of me. He crouched down so he could meet my eyes and had said “ “ miss are you hurt, im going to call 911 and-” ” I had cut him off by saying “ “ forget about me, help my baby, she-she is in the b-backseat of the car” ” I remember that I couldn’t even talk without stuttering, so he ran to the back of the car and somehow managed to get you out, I saw some blood on you blanket that had been wrapped aroung you because it had been quite cold out and I didn’t need you getting any sicker now did I? I don’t know what he did but when I saw you, you looked perfectly fine, no more blood stains. And that’s when it happened. The man said “ “ I want to make a deal with you, as a reward for me saving your daughter, and the deal is, and will be that your daughter will have to be married to my son when she is 16 years old, as will be my son seeing that he will be the same age. With all do respect ma’am I mean no trouble but that is just how I am, my motto is make the deal, or be dragged. So see you in a few years, good day.” ” in my opinion his motto doesn’t make any sense, but anyways back to the story, shortly after he left, the paramedics came and brought us to the hospital. And here we are now. Im going to miss you baby girl.” she said breaking down and sobbing.

　

As all what she had said sunk in, my life completely changed around in an instant. I had been in a car accident and because I was in that damn car accident, I have to marry a guy that I have never met, let along know? He is probably a careless jerk that wont even care about me. Who makes a deal like that?, oh yeah I know the stupid guy who supposedly ‘saved’ us.
