The morning was so peaceful where after having breakfast, she made her way outside to feel the calmness in the atmosphere.
She tried to look closely when something caught her attention, when she realised what was it, stepping out from the doorstep she ran towards it, too engrossed that she didn't even heard Jay who was calling for her to stop her.
When she didn't stopped, Jay shouted at Riki who was also outside but on the other side.
"She's running away, Ni-ki catch her"
His attention was immediately drawed to her after hearing Jay yell.
Anger rushed through his veins for some reasons as he ran after her to catch her because she wouldn't listen if he'd just call out for her.
She was running quite fast so he increased his speed as well, it was for when they were almost near the river, he finally reached out to her and grabbed her wrist, pinning both of her hands behind her back.
"What do you think you were doing? Running away? This easily?" The anger showed clearly on his face and in his grip of her wrist too.
"Don't you dare open that little mouth of yours and talk back to me." He growled, cutting her off before she could even say a word.
Because of her hands being blocked, she pointed at somewhere with her gaze, trying to make him look over there but he didn't seemed to get it and just tightened his grip on her wrist until he heard something.
The sound of a kid crying, echoed in his ears as he finally get the hint from her and looked at his side where she was pointing.
His grip loosened very slowly, watching the kid sitting at the edge of the river and crying, as soon he let go of her hands.
She hissed and stretched out her wrist which was numb by now before she ran again and reached out to the kid.
She picked him up from the water, taking him out from there and trying to stop him from crying when she heard the voice of a man and woman, yelling.
"Oh my child" The women gasped, running over to her whilst the man followed behind who looked like a fisherman.
"How can you leave your child like this, at the edge of the river?" She asked, not bothering to hide her disappointment.
"I went to help my husband catch fishes, I made him sit away from the river, I don't know how it happened." The woman cried, and took her child back.
"Please never leave your child like this again, what if something happened, you and your carelessness would be the one to blame."
"I will never, thank you for saving my child, I'll forever be grateful." The lady took her hand to express her gratitude whilst holding her child in her other arms.
"It's alright, be careful from now on." She smiled at them, caressing the child's head before the man and that lady both left from there with their child.
As she turned around to leave, she saw him still standing there and watching everything, diverting her gaze, she walked past him and made her way back.
She wasn't mad, she was just upset with everything and how he treated her just now, he didn't trusted her and thought that she's running away, holding back her tears she entered inside the house to meet by the sight of a mad Jay standing in front.
As she was about to walk past him, he proceeded to grab her wrist to stop her but he accidentally ended up lifting her t-shirt and felt something in her waist when his hand came in contact to it.
"Hey, what was it?"
He asked whilst she widened her eyes, attempting to walk away immediately but he stopped her.
"What are you hiding inside?"
He asked after getting a hold of her wrist and turning her around.
"I'm not hiding anything, let me go"
"Then show me"
She looked at him with startled eyes which was now getting teary.
"It's nothing"
"Let me see it myself because what if you're hiding a weapon."
He was about to lift her t-shirt but she stopped him with all her force.
Hearing the noises, Sunghoon came out to see what was happening, whilst Riki at the same time also returned.
"I felt something over there and you're straight up lying by saying there's nothing?"
Sunghoon wanted to meddle in between but the way Jay looked so angry, he couldn't bring himself to say something.
"Stop it, I'm not hiding anything"
She was almost crying because he had a death grip on her already sore wrist.
She saw Riki standing at the door step but she didn't expected anything from him, because if he wanted he could have already stopped Jay.
"Please no"
She cried out loud when he lifted her t-shirt from behind.
As Jay was standing behind her, he glanced down from her shoulders only to see something he didn't even slightly expected.
There was an iron shaped bruise on her lower stomach near her waist, which looked like she have gotten from a hot iron.
The whole place fell into silence except for her loud crying as it came in the sight of all three of them.
Jay covered back her waist and slowly let go of her wrist, whilst Sunghoon couldn't watch her like that and proceeded to approach her.
"Hey, are you okay?"
He asked her, letting her head rest on his shoulder as he patted her back gently.
"Let's go inside"
He made her walk back inside and took her to her room.
As he made her sit on the bed, he waited there for a while till she'd stop crying and when he finally heard her sobs died down, he proceeded to ask something but she cut him off.
"Please leave me alone"
She didn't looked up and kept her gaze somewhere else.
Sunghoon knew that she needed space so he decided to leave her alone for now. Letting out a small hum, he walked away from there.
He felt bad for her and regretted not stopping Jay earlier, seeing this side of Jay for the first time, he couldn't stop him even when he wanted to.
Glancing at her for the last time and closing the door quietly, he let out a sigh and left from there.
