The boxing ring felt much smaller today than usual, even though it usually seemed gigantic to me. After a few months, I was back here, engaging in a hobby that helped me clear my mind. I wasn't a violent person; in fact, I always tried to resolve my conflicts through words and reasonable solutions.

But boxing wasn't about conflict; it was my way to relieve the stress of everyday life.

Sweat gleamed on my forehead, the leather of the boxing gloves felt familiar and reassuring. In front of me stood Nate, my cousin, also in a fighting stance, his gaze focused, though I could see the fatigue in his eyes. Since becoming a father, he had lost some of his energy, which no one could blame him for, but it was still noticeable and a bit surprising since he was usually known for being good at this.

Nate made a move, sending a right hook in my direction, but his punch was sloppy and weak. I easily dodged it, feeling his arm only cut through the air in front of me. Then it happened; in his imbalance, Nate stumbled forward, his right foot losing grip on the mat, and he fell flat on the ground.

I paused, adrenaline coursing through my veins, but the laughter I could barely suppress was only a brief flicker. With a crooked grin, I stepped closer, knelt beside him, and pulled off my boxing gloves.

"Someone's really let themselves go," I said, giving him a light pat on the shoulder. Nate muttered something unintelligible as he rubbed his mouth, which he had awkwardly hit during the fall. He reached for his water bottle and took a deep swig, trying to wash down the disappointment.

"Don't look so smug, in a few years, you'll be in my shoes," he commented, trying to lighten the mood. I shrugged, a slight smile on my lips.

"Maybe, but I think I'd still beat you."But when Nate turned to me again, his expression grew more serious.

"Okay, why are you really here?" he asked, the playful tone gone. I knew he wanted a straight answer. This wasn't just about boxing; it was about the state of Kim Real Estate. A quiet sigh escaped me as I stepped off the boxing ring and sat down on the bench.

Nate quickly followed, his gaze attentive but no longer amused.

"Spit it out, big guy," he said, nudging me with his water bottle. I chuckled softly under my breath.

"Kim Real Estate," I began directly. "How's it going?" Although I could have asked my mom or my brother, I didn't. They weren't the best sources of information.

Nate took another sip of water before answering. "It's running," he said briefly. "But there are some problems. Aiden's at the helm now, and that hasn't made things easier."

"What exactly is going wrong?" I asked, my tone calm, but the look I gave him left no room for excuses. "I want facts, not gossip."

"Aiden has taken control," Nate explained. "And he's changed quite a bit. Everything's... tense. A lot of people are unhappy, and there are constant new problems."
