A deadly foe is near
Hearing her doorbell ring, she stood from her chair and left her room, questionably staring at the door as she stood in the hallway. It was around 8 PM, both her parents were busy. Her mother was still in the hospital helping her patients and her father had left to do business elsewhere, so she wondered who could be at the door.
She wasn't expecting anyone. Maybe they forgot something or her friends wanted to surprise her. Did she forget something important today? She hoped not as she approached the door and opened it.
Her eyes widened to see Izuku on the other side with a smile, "Izuku? What are you doing here?"
His smile faltered, "You said to come by for a sleepover. Did you forget?"
She glanced at his bag that he clutched on, the memory resurfacing, "Oh, you're right, sorry."
She moved to the side to let him, closing the door behind him. She turned and gestured for him to go into her room, "You can go in. The remotes on the bed so feel free to put anything on. I have to do something real quick."
He grabbed the remote, looking at her when she sat on her desk chair, "What are you doing?"
She scrolled through her computer, "My mom wants me to get started on looking for a college. Have my future set or whatever."
"College?" The boy mumbled as he sat down on her bed.
"Mhm." She said, clicking on sites with a smile, "I know, I also think it's too early to be looking for one, but I'm trying on a new thing where I make her happy.
How strange. Something wasn't right here.
The boy glanced at her before turning her small TV on and putting on a random movie. He laid in her bed, soon beginning to feel cold as so he wrapped himself in her blankets. He could hear the keyboard and the mouse clicking.
He thought for a split moment. What was today?
"Have you taken your medication?" Izuku suddenly asked.
Her smile slowly disappeared as she blinked at him, "How do you know I took some.?"
He stared at her for a while as her heart raced. No one besides her doctor, parents and Shoto knew of the pills she took, so how did he know? Did he somehow figure her out or what?
Izuku smiled as he let out a chuckle, pointing in front of her, "F/n, your medications are right there. Have you forgotten you placed them there?"
She looked to where he pointed. Behind the stacks of notebooks she could see the lid of her prescription. You could hardly see it unless you were specifically looking for it.
"Besides..." She glanced at him when he spoke, "you told me, remember?"
She confusingly eyed him, "..I did?"
"Of course!" He smiled, but his smile turned into one of concern, "You told me at the carnival, remember? That's why we stayed on the ride for an hour. You seemed out of it so I was concerned and asked you. You told me that you were having problems and when I asked what problems you told me you don't think your medications are working."
She furrowed her brows, trying to remember that day but it was a blur. As she thought, Izuku continued, "F/n, are you sure you don't remember? Maybe you need to be on a different prescription. I know one."
"No." She let out an awkward chuckle, waving him off as she didn't want the male to think she was crazy. Oh, if only they knew, "I-I remember now."
No she didn't. In fact she never told him anything. But Izuku wasn't going to say that.
