Beth went to the new coffee shop every day for a week. At first, she just got her coffee and left.

But then, one day, Carl struck up a conversation with her. He was friendly and easy to talk to, and they quickly became friends.

They started chatting every day, and Beth found herself looking forward to their conversations. Gradually, over the course of a few weeks, they grew closer and closer. And then one day, something unexpected

Carl is a new person who works at the new coffee shop. He's friendly and outgoing, and he quickly becomes friends with Beth.

But as their friendship grows, Glenn starts to feel a bit jealous. He's not sure how he feels about Beth having another close friend.

One day, Beth was chatting with Carl at the coffee shop when Glenn walked in.

He saw the two of them laughing and chatting, and he felt a pang of jealousy. He tried to tell himself that he was being silly, but the feeling wouldn't go away.

He decided to confront Beth about it later that day. "I saw you with Carl today," he said. "And I just wanted to ask you something.

Are you two... Are you dating?" Beth was taken aback by the question. "What? No! We're just friends. I thought you knew that." Glenn felt relieved, a little and he left

Beth and Carl were chatting as usual when Carl suddenly asked her a question. "Have you ever thought about going on a date with me?" Beth was caught off guard by the question. She hadn't expected it, and she wasn't sure how to respond. After a moment of hesitation, she said, "I'm not sure. I think of you as a friend, and I'm not sure if that would change things between us." Carl nodded, understanding. "That's okay," he said. "I just wanted to ask. I'm happy being your friend, too." And with that,

they went back to chatting about their usual topics, and the moment passed. But something had shifted between them. Beth started to feel more drawn to Carl, and she started to wonder if her feelings for him were more than just friendship. She was confused and uncertain, but she knew that she needed to figure out her feelings. After a few days of deliberation, she decided to take a chance. She took a deep breath and approached Carl at the coffee shop. "I've been thinking," she said. "I'd like to give dating a try." Carl smiled, and they both knew

that their friendship was about to change in a big way. The next few weeks were full of firsts for Beth and Carl. They went on their first date, their first movie night, and their first long walk through the park. And as they spent more time together, they realized that they had a lot in common. They shared the same sense of humor, the same taste in movies, and the same love of the outdoors. Slowly, they fell in love. And one day, as they were walking through the park, Carl got down on one knee and proposed. And Beth said...,

Beth realized that she wanted to explore the world with Carl and get to know him better before making such a big commitment.

So, she sat him down and explained her feelings. At first, Carl was hurt and confused.

But after some discussion, he understood where she was coming from. "I still want to be with you," he said.

But I respect your decision.

We can take things at whatever pace you're comfortable with." And with that, they both felt a wave of relief.

Beth explained to Carl that she loved him, but he wanted to travel, to pursue her career, and to grow as a person before taking the next step.

She assured him that she wanted to stay with him, but she needed time to explore the world and find herself.

And she said that she wanted him to do the same.

Carl understood, and he agreed that it was important to take things slowly.

He was happy that they could be honest with each other, and he knew that their love was strong enough to withstand anything.
