Chapter 3: The New Magic Knight

No One POV

Where we last left off, Zero was now staring down four Magic Knight Captains. His blade drawn and assuming his stance, Zero waited to see who would make the first move. Truthfully he knows that he had no chance at defeating them, especially since he could sense that the other Captain's were on their way to his location. His only option was to escape and get back to his hideout. The Captains all stood on the opposite side, waiting for Zero to make his move.

Charlotte: His grimoire...

Yami: A six-leaf clover? Now that's interesting.

Zero: Celestial Magic: SOLAR FLARE!!!

A bright flash of light enveloped the area, forcing everyone to close their eyes tightly as to not go blind. Using this opportunity, Zero took the chance to flee the immediate area, knowing that he couldn't take on all of the Magic Knight Captains at the same time. As he rounded a corner, a ton of briars suddenly cut off his route and tried to grab him. Using his blade, Zero managed to cut through them and he jumped up to try and get away. Unfortunately, he was caught by some of them and they bounded him tightly.

Zero: Damn it.

Charlotte: It's over.

Suddenly, the briar's had started to glow before they shattered into pieces. As soon as his feet hit the ground, Zero sped off in a flash of white light. He didn't get far as Yami had tried to strike him with his own blade and Zero dodged the strike.

Yami: Nice sword you got there.

Zero: *Unsheathes Blade* It's called Omniverse-Slasher.

A/N: It's the katana that Fu from Super Dragon Ball Heroes/Xenoverse uses.

The two began to trade blows with their blades, neither side giving the other time to think. Yami the sent a slash of Dark Magic towards our protagonist, but he countered with a slash of his own Celestial Magic, canceling the former's attack out. Just then, the remaining Captains had all arrived at the location of the battle, leaving Zero heavily outnumbered and outmatched.

Zero: *Sheathes sword*

Fuegoleon: Are you finally going to admit defeat and surrender?

Zero: My master/guardian always told me that no matter what the situation is, I should never give up. Every day, I get closer and closer to my goal and I'm not going to let anyone stand in my way. Doesn't matter who I face, if you want to face me...

Zero: YOU BETTER BE READY TO DIE!!!

As the Captain's all felt Zero's magical power increase tremendously, they began to raise their own in response. Before anyone could make a move however, they were interrupted by Julius.
