The female's hair fluttered in the midst of the strong wind, her pretty face has a deep wound near on her cheek. The wound inflicted by the demonic sword held by the other man. The pearl necklace clinging onto her form, she held tightly onto her Ruan, her fingertips began bleeding as she attempts to continue using her spiritual weapon. The strings broke under her fingers from the pressure.

Her form seems heavily weak in comparison to the strong gorgeous half-demon who's pouring out his demonic energy threatening to unleash another blow.

"Disciple Luo Binghe of Qing Jing Peak, please stop this madness." There was a hint of sorrow and pity inside those pair of turquoise eye, which was disregarded by the stated disciple. Luo Binghe chuckled under his breathe, as he grinned in favor that the situation is going his way. "The Qiyang Mountain Sect are no better than the rest of those pesky sects. Tsk. Tsk."

                                              ——

The sect leaders of Qiyang Mountain has always been females since the beginning of time. The sect has five different training field, each sections using different weapons. All focus toward the central marital art of Qiyang Mountain, the Marital Art huã yun¨. The marital art required the user to be a constant state of calmness and concentration, the mind overleaping with the body to create the utmost elegance fighting form.

Xu Qiyang is the current sect leader of Qiyang Mountain. The sect has a total of five disciples, three of the former and two new disciples. Build on a separate mountain compared to Cang Qiong Mountain.

The previous sect leader was Xu Qiyang's mother, Lian Qiyang. The sect has a strict tradition of 18 year old is the most prime age of passing the sect leader title. All the heirs of Qiyang Mountain Sect has always been females, if the sect leader were to given birth to one female. That female will automatically be chosen to become the heir at the age of eighteen. If more than one female was born, the one that surpass the other in showcasing the central marital art will become the new sect leader. Each potential heir will have personal training by the previous sect leader starting from age of six, as well as their last name coming from their mother.

Xu Qiyang is the only child of Lian Qiyang. In her previous life, with her mother dying during her seventeen birthday, she decided to turn down her new title and giving it to her father. But in this life, she wouldn't make the same mistake as before. Her accepting her new role shocked the crowd, mostly her father. Some tried persuading her to change her mind by reminding her that she was far too young to become a sect leader.  Regardless, she made the vow to the two mini Phoenix statues guarding the temple in the restriction area of Qiyang Mountain. Heading into the temple, she made the same vow to the massive Phoenix statue in the grounds of the inner-temple. From then on, she was officially the sect leader of Qiyang Mountain.

The former disciples of Qiyang Mountain, her mother's disciples, were given the choice to either stay or leave to become a wandering cultivator. This decision was suggested by Xu Qiyang, believing that one's life shouldn't be hold down by the grander sect reputation.
In the past life, Xu Qiyang's suggestion was denied by her father. But in this life, she's the sect leader therefore no member of Qiyang Mountain could denied her request.

It has been seven months since she's been in this position, it has also been seven months since her second past life's death and her mother's death. Even despite with the experience of three lifetime, her life has been crowded with tons of papers relating to sect and the villager depending a cultivator to be send down to assist with the lower-realm's issue. "Guess that old geezer wasn't joking about the responsibility coming with the position." Xu Qiyang's former study room has turn into her personal workspace. The desk that previously filled with stacks of her literature books and book report gifted by her mother, is now covers with reports of previous missions done by the disciples of Qiyang Mountain and incomplete manuscripts.

She noticed a tall silhouette outside one of the windows, it headed toward the direction of the workspace's door. There was a couple of knocks on the closed door. "Come in." With one command, a male disciple with his black hair in high ponytail came in. "Disciple Zu Wang, what do you have for me?" Zu Wang lowered his head in order to match her eye length, his brown pairs met the turquoise ones. On his hand held a newly stack of new missions. He quietly settled the stack of files on the empty spot of the desk, "Miss Qiyang, these missions are for this month. I shall take my leave." With that, he left.

She shook her head in disappointment, ever since her mother's departure from this world, she and some of the former disciples has grown more distant. Her mother's death truly did took a toll out of them. Three of the former disciples stayed, one of which is Zu Wang. Zu Wang is 22 year old, good looking man with sharp eyes and fair-skinned, often seen with his hair in a ponytail style. He is also the only male disciple of her mother, with the other two being female. Due to her current age, all her mother's disciple has surpassed her age by a couple of years. She understands their discomfort upon accepting a younger master than them. That's why she didn't force them to refer her as 'master' unless they truly wanted to.

The slender hand lacking her usual elbow-length dark-green gloves stopped at the first sheet of new mission. "Tian Hia Village." Xu Qiyang called out the name of the village. The village was located a few miles away from Peak of Xiyang. The Peak Of Xiyang is the main peak of Qiyang Mountain and other smaller unnamed peaks. The current peak that Xu Qiyang's literature room, otherwise her workspace, is on Peak Of Xiyang.

To the east are Zhao Hua Monastery and Cang Qiong Mountain, to the south is Huan Hua Palace, and to the middle is Tian Yi Temple. The westernmost sect, Qiyang Mountain, is closest to Tian Hia Village being to the west.

The Qiyang Mountain's reputation wasn't worst nor better than other cultivation sects. The mission load did decreased by a factor upon her mother's departure.
One could infer that a young sect leader could not lead the Qiyang Mountain well and ruin its reputation. However, by the passing of six months, the sect continues to prosper under the guidance of the new sect leader. The mission load began coming to its usual amount, still lesser to before, however it was more than enough to handle for the month.

Xu  Qiyang scan through the file, Tian Hia Village are facing crisis with the several villagers gone missing through the night. She could send the two new disciples on this mission. She put the file aside before looking through the other missions. Xiang Village, another village in the West. The problem is that the villager's stamina is often drained quickly and the cause of it is still unknown. This may seems like a easy mission, however Xu Qiyang knows better. In the past life, she assigned one of the former disciples to this matter. A disciple of her mother has more capabilities compare to a new disciple. The disciple came back into her literature hall and fainted. The disciple had to wait for a week and a half to wake up.

Even despite the disciple's physical form was still entact, their mental form clearly wasn't functioning. However with some time, they were able to return to the original state. If her mother's disciple whom have more experience than her own disciples had such a devastating impact, this only proves that it wasn't an normal mission. As a sect leader and the current only heir of the sect, she should patronize herself in comparison to others. But would she truly turn a blind eye on the matter? Was she truly that selfish enough?
She, whom is the sect leader, should also care about the safety of her own disciples after all a disciple also represent her sect's dignity and wisdom.

She sighed: I guess I have no choice but to participate in the mission.
