Chapter 4 Meeting The Family And First Date

The next morning Charise opens her eyes rapidly remembering Parker was coming over the meet her parent's today. it was now Monday it was summer so she didn't have school luckily,she rolled out of bed swiftly and woke her mom and dad up. "MOM, DAD! wake up i got a new boyfriend! He's coming over to meet y'all today so ya'll need to be ready!" Charise said with excitement trying to hold back her fear of him meeting them "what would they think of him she thought ? what would happen when he meets them? what if they don't like him and don't approve ?"

"Reesee we're getting up stop honey..we didn't get much sleep last night we waited up for you to get home so give us some time to wake up" Charises mom said in a tired groggy voice. Her dad just rolled over and passed gas loudly and started snoring again." It was now 3pm her mom and dad we're both up her mom was dressed casually in some sweatpants and a pink shirt and her dad was in his boxers still walking around trying to find the controller to play his ps3 he was into games when he didn;t have anything else to do. He dug through his closet and found a white muscle tee (A shirt style)  and some blue jeans he cut to fit around his boots, he slipped on some black cowboy boots and a camo hat and looked at Charise with a glare. " So...this guy we're meeting am i gonna have to kick his ass out the door as soon as i meet him ? or is he gonna be polite enough to get a chance for my daughter ? i dont let just anyone date you Reesee, you know this. " I know dad trust me, she says with a faint voice mumbling to herself, I hope to god they like him because if not i'm still going to date him whether they like it or not"

Charise darts off into the bathroom and starts getting ready. She puts on her eyeliner slips on some tight blue jeans and a somewhat low cut black and gray dress shirt which showed her figure. She had always been insecure of her body because she was constantly bullied in school, all of her ex's always took her for granted they didn't want love they just wanted some girl to use. But she though to herself maybe this guy will be different so why not try and look nice for him?

it was 3pm Parker ran into his room and shuffled through his  closet. "Shit..im suppose to be there at 4pm and she's at least 35 minutes from me. Parker lived in a small town named Natchitoches,Louisiana while Charise was in a small town about 35 minutes from him named Provencal,Louisiana it was a very small quiet town where everyone knew each other and at night all you could hear is the sound of trucks racing down the strip they had.

Parker hurried as he threw on a Blue button up tee with some boot cut jeans he tucked the shirt in and slipped on his black dingo boots. He may have been dark and mysterious but what's the hurt of being dressed properly to meet someone right ? Afterall vampires are about class he thought to himself as he rushed out the door and started up his truck and began to head to Charises house 

"Vampires dating humans..how the hell does this work? Parker thought to himself quietly as he drove through Natchitoches with his music blaring so loud you could hear him coming down the street. He put the pedal to the floor doing 80 mph to get to Charises house he was right down the road from it maybe 9 miles.

Hey mom! do i look alright ? Charise asked blushing hard..she wasn't use to dressing up for guys..all other other guys wanted her to look like was a slut which made her so insecure.  "Yes sweety you look fine, don't you think its a little extreme for a first date though ?"   

No i don't mom i want to make it work with this one...he's different..he's not like all other guys he's actually polite. "I'll be the judge of that her dad said with a stern voice as he walked outside to his truck and leaned against the tailgate, Charise walked outside and stood beside him. Don't worry dad, you'll like him i promise." 

Parker pulled into Provencal looking for Charises house he remembered her saying it was a white house about 4 houses down from the gas station. He searched and saw two figures standing beside a white ford truck, it was charise and what looked like a tall ass guy beside her. Was that her dad ? damn he's tall as shit. Parker thought as he pulled into her driveway and got out his truck. He walked over to Charise and gave her a hug and looked this tall ass guy in the eyes. Parker this is my dad Joe, Charise said with a little fear in her voice she did't know if Joe would like him..they seemed alike would that be a good or bad thing ?

"Joe looks down at Parker and holds out his hand, I'm Joe her step dad but she considers me her real dad" Parker extended his hand as he took hold of Joe's and gave a firm handshake, My names Parker nice to meet you Joe you have a wonderful daughter might i add. Joe made his handshake more firm cracking Parker's knuckles yea she is wonderful and feisty too i taught her alot so watch it son. She's a handful to handle you better never hurt her or ill have to snap your neck in 5 different places got it ? 

Parker smirked, Yes sir as he proceeded into their house being led in by Charise by her holding his hand. He walked into a bedroom and her mother was sitting there and smiled "Hi there you must be the guy we've heard about all night..Parker right? "   Yes ma'am that's me Parker said as he extended his hand out and shook hers gently, Nice to meet the mother of this wonderful,gorgeous woman.

Her mom smiled, well my name''s Mary nice to meet you sweety. Where will you be taking my daughter today?   "Well i was thinking about going to eat or maybe just heading to my house to watch a couple movies" Parker said with a small smile.  Alright well y'all have fun don't do anything stupid.

"We wont mom, Charise said with a smile"...Thank you Mrs Mary ill take care of her i swear. Parker said as he headed out the door he came face to face with Joe.  " Take care of her son...don't do any shit i wouldn't as he patted Parker's shoulder and went inside."  Parker looked at Charise in curiosity 

Don't ask there's not a lot he wouldn't do, Charise said with a chuckle as she got into his truck. Lets go babe i'm hungry, " Alright baby where would you like to eat love ? Parker started up his truck and pulled out of her drive way" I don't know anywhere would be nice you know, Charise said with a flirty tone as she slid her hand on top of his and held it tight...Anywhere."
