Sucking My Love || James Hetfield

I.

  15th of April 2015, 7 am

I woke up from one of my nightmares again. I slept poorly as I often did now that I lived with my grandmother after my mother passed away due to a car accident. I opened my eyes, startled, and blinked a few times before looking around the room and seeing all my stuff still in boxes.
  After my mom died, I was devastated by the news, and so was my grandma. I comforted her, and she comforted me. We decided that I should move in with her so I could look after her, but secretly, I knew it was because I didn't want to be alone.
  I took a glance out of the window, the house in front of us wasn't sold yet and I was wondering when will someone eventually buy it.

  As I got out of bed and went inside the kitchen, my grandmother was sitting on a chair and drinking a cup of tea while reading one of her favorite books - Jules Verne - from the Earth to the Moon.
  When she noticed me, she put her book down on the table and got up.

  "Charlotte, my dear, good morning." She smiled softly and kissed my cheek.
  "Good morning grams, how did you sleep?" I asked her, trying to make some conversation.

  "I slept well, sweetheart. I'm sorry i didn't wake you up earlier, but you seemed to finally rest well in the last few days." I shook my head and kissed her forehead. She was worrying about something that wasn't even her fault.

  "It's okay, don't worry about it. I talked with Olivia already. She'll be here in a while, I'm going to wait here with you."
  She simply nodded and sat back down. Not long after our conversation, Liv knocked on the door, and I left, walking to the pharmacy down the corner of the street where I worked.

  "Charlotte, finally you're here." Jerry, my boss said.
  "Yeah, I'm sorry for being late, I was just waiting for Olivia." He nodded knowingly.

  Hours were passing by, and I zoned out for a while, but I was snapped back to reality when I heard the door opening and a tall, elder man entered. He looked somehow familiar, but it didn't quite click, so I gave up on figuring out who he was. He had the most amazing blue eyes I've ever seen, as bright as the blue sky and his hair being grayish. His smile was doing spells on me, and as he made his way to the counter, I tried to set my eyes on something else, but his voice sent a shiver down my spine as he started talking with Jerry.

  "Good afternoon sir, how may I help you?" I was trying to arrange the things in the back, but I couldn't help but hear their conversation.

  "I need something for my migraines." His voice made me shudder.
  "Well, I have Advil, Tylenol, and Excidrin. Excidrin is stronger than those two."

  "I'd like some Excidrin, please." Jeremy nodded and told me what to give to the man.

  I handed him his pills and smiled softly. "Here you go, sir." Pur fingers brushed slightly as he took them from me, and  we both felt some electricity when we touched.
  "Thanks... Charlotte." He winked and looked at my name badge, showing me his big smile before heading out.

  After he left, I glanced at my watch and saw it was 6pm, my shift was over.
