ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴀɴᴛʀʏ

Me and Leah were talking, when suddenly Rick interrupts us by saying:

"Okay guys, i hope you're excited because we're gonna play some games to get to know eachother!"

Me and Leah look at eachother and immediately know who we're choosing to partner up with. But those thoughts are suddenly interrupted with:

"Okay so, Walker with Sherley-" He didn't even get to finish that sentence when me and Walker both said 'WHAT' at the same time. Ignoring us, Rick picks Leah to be with Aryan and Charlie to be with him.

I roll my eyes and walk towards Walker. Then, Rick starts explaining the rules of one of the games.
"So, first game! Find the object. My team will hide an object and every team has to find their object or else they will lose! You have 15 minutes, ready, set, go!" Rick tells us.
Everyone scrambles to go find their object but me and Walker are just standing there. I roll my eyes for the hundredth time today and force myself to look at him.

"hi." I say blankly.
"hi." he responds.

I almost want to laugh.
"so uh, should we go search for the objects?" he says.
"sure." i reply.

After a few minutes of searching, the silence gets too loud and my annoyed level is full. So i do what any reasonable person would do! Start arguing with him.

"how did you even get accepted as percy anyways" i start.
"could ask you the same thing.." he replies rolling his eyes while he looks through the bushes.
"you know my dress is still stained from your disgusting iced coffee, right?" i bring up the iced coffee.
"you deserve it after the tantrum that you threw!"
"hey! that dress was expensive okay! i had a right to be mad. plus sooner or later ur teeth will rot from how much you drink iced coffee."
"what does that have to do with anything?!"
"it has to do with everything dumbass! i was already having a horrible day and u decided to bump into me and throw iced coffee all over me! i mean, how oblivious can you be?" i say loudly.
"do u think it was on purpose or something? not everything revolves around you, princess."
"you know what, the only thing that matters, is that you don't fuck up things for me. so don't get in my way. is that hard to understand or do i need to make it more clear for ur dumb brain?" i say pointing my finger at his face.
"same for me! the only reason i'm even tolerating you right now is because you work with me." he says pushing my finger away from his face.

I glare at him. He glares at me. We glare at eachother.

Rick comes running around the corner, me and Walker both turn around at the same time and he says:
"Is everything okay? I heard screaming from the other side of the garden."
We didn't realize how loud we were arguing till everyone came following him. I groan and say:

"yeah, everything's fine. its just someone being
annoying." i direct my gaze at Walker.
He raises his eyebrows and crosses his arms. "yeah, someone."
They both keep glaring at eachother, sending death stares, until Rick tells them to cut it off and work together as a team.

They nod, and Sherley waits till Walker turns his back for her to flip him off.

"Sherley! Behave." Rick says.
Walker laughs and says "yeah Sherley, behave."  he teases her.

Then he whispers to Aryan "what did she do?"
"You're better off not knowing." Aryan shakes his head and chuckles.

"Okay, next game! Hide and seek! Me and Charlie are the seekers. Same teams as before, and no arguing." He specifically looks at us saying that last sentence and i clear my throat.

Ready, set, go!!

Sherley drags Walker into the kitchen and tries to crawl under the counter but she hits her head while doing so.
"ouch" she whines and gets back up on her feet.
Walker laughs at the girl "i shouldn't have even followed you here"

But before she can reply back snarkily, she hears a voice and nearby footsteps about to walk in the room. Walker takes her arm and pulls her in the tight pantry resulting in both of them being squished up against eachother.

"what do you think you're doing?" she whisper-yells with her face being flushed. She hoped that the dark lighting would cover it up.
"saving both of our asses, so shut up and thank me."
he replies in the exact same tone, turning his face away from hers, hoping to hide the blood rushing through his face.

With each minute passing, they could hear eachothers heartbeats quickening. Being this close to Walker for some time made Sherley realize how tall he actually was. Wait, why does she even care?
"not so talkative now, are we Kendrick?" Walker says confidently.

Even in the dark, you can see her roll her eyes and push him away. "they're gone, she looks at him, you can get off now." She goes to open the pantry door, but feels a force stopping her. "wouldn't want to risk it though, right?"
She gulps and nods.

After a few moments in silence, she hears Rick say in the kitchen "You guys can come out now!"

She opens the door and almost falls out due to small space she was being squished into. Leah laughs "What a spacious area to hide in! Right Sher?"
" it was my idea." he admits.

"you know how that sounds right?" she rubs her forehead in annoyance. Everyone stares at them for a good minute before Sherley realizes what theyre thinking.

"oh no, ew, never! we just went in there because we  heard footsteps and we were too busy arguing to find another hiding spot so we hid in there, thats all." She
justifies, earning a long glare from Walker.

"who wouldn't want to make out with me Sherley?" He says, his ego through the roof.
She frowns and lines form on her forehead "the real question is who would want to make out with you? ugh im gonna need botox after this day."

Charlie interrupts their banter "We're still here, just so you guys know." He laughs.
"You guys fight like an old married couple." Aryan adds.
"why do you think they got cast as Percy and Annabeth?" Leah chimes in.
