"Anyway, My name is Kari" the creature exclaimed, smiling.

The girl was confused.

"What's your name?" asked Kari, now curious about the girl.

The girl didn't know what to say.

She had forgotten her name long ago.

"Do you have a name?" Kari asked.

The girl shook her head slightly, embarrassed.

Everyone seemed to have a name but her.

The soldiers that chased her through the forest.

The ruler of Anovia, Queen Mivory.

Even her mother had had a name.

"Well, we can't have that, can we?" said Kari bringing the girl to her feet.

She pulled the girl away from the table and began to walk around her. Looking her up and down.

The girl stood quietly, frozen in place, as Kari slowly made her way around.

Kari stopped directly in front of the girl.

She stepped closer and peered deep into the girl's eyes.

Kari stepped closer and closer, until her nose just nearly touched the girl's.

The girl began to feel herself turning red again.

"How about..." she began, pulling away from the girl.

"Aura! I think it's a beautiful name"

Aura... It was different, but anything is better than what she had been called previously.

"Aura" the girl said, wanting to hear it again.

"Yeah, it's a word that describes the energy surrounding a person" Kari explained.

"Aura is en-er-gy?" She didn't completely understand what the words meant, but the look on Kari's face told her that they were good.

As Aura was finishing the liquid in the bowl, Kari left the room into the forest outside.

The wind carried with it the smells of the large evergreens that grew around Kari's home in the clearing.

The trees rustled as the breeze blew through the branches.

Enormous mountains towered over the treetops.

Kari layed down in the soft grass and stared into the deep blue sky.

She began looking at the stars that glowed around the bright cream-coloured moon.

It was a calm night.

Crickets chirped in the long grass.

Just then, Aura came outside to see what Kari was looking at.

She joined Kari on the ground and stared up into the starry night.

Aura had never seen the sky like this.

Where was the sun?

Why is it so dark?

What was the new bright light in the sky?

Why are there so many little specks?

What are those little specks?

An owl hooted in the distance, along with the sound of a wolves howl.

All these sounds were new to Aura.

The village she had lived in was always lit up with torches as to ensure the creatures of the night would not enter.

The wide black cosmos was so beautiful.

Even though she did not understand it.

In a way, that was the most endearing part to her.

Aura shifted her gaze toward Kari, who was still staring at the abyss.

The reflection of the stars made her eyes shine bright.

Her hair flowed in the gentle breeze.

Aura blushed. Her face felt hot.

She didn't understand what was happening to her.

She often saw the girls in the village and thought they were lovely, but she never felt like this toward them.

Kari was very beautiful.

The way her skin seemed to glow in the night air.

Each freckle on her face, so endearing.

Her smile, ever so soft.

Kari looked over at Aura, who turned away quickly.

"Well, we should probably head back inside..." Kari said sitting up.

She stood up and helped Aura to her feet.

They both strode back into the burrow as the night dragged on.

Aura walked back into the small room, lied down on the grass bed, and wondered if the soldiers would ever find her here.

The thought ran in circles in her head, as she drifted off to sleep.
