Okay, here with an update. A late one, for sure, but we made it.

Literally had to sweat this one out guys, fingers crossed it still turned out good!

Time to reunite the crew again (for like a single chapter)!

Happy reading!

A makeshift camp had been set up shortly after we arrived, and already the crew was bustling around, prepping for dinner and getting ready to discuss what had happened to each group while we were separated. Luffy's cheek's were puffed up like a chipmunk as he ate, taking another bite out of the roasted-sky shark before the last piece had even been swallowed. He had practically begged Sanji to cook it for him, and the chef relented in an attempt to stave off the hungry boy for the time being.

I sat next to him, nestled between a few roots that served as a comfortable-enough backrest, blinking owlishly at the whole shark that had been placed on a spit and roasted caveman-style. Luffy, who notices my awed stare, rips a large chunk off the morsel he was currently devouring, and hands it to me with a smile. I hesitate, but hold out both of my hands in order to properly accommodate the meat without dropping it on myself.

"These things are tasty!" He exclaims once he finally swallows.

"You'd eat dirt if we told you it was food." Nami sweat drops, glancing at Robin next to her. Everyone was positioned in a circle around the small fire, and I wasn't planning on moving anytime soon. My body still aches like hell.

"You haven't even tried it! What do you know?" My soulmate bites back at the girl, before digging into his meal once more. Usopp, the only one standing, taps on the chalkboard to alert us that he was about to begin the discussion. I had no idea we even had a chalkboard. Where did that come from?

"It's time to hear everyone's field reports!"

Mysterious chalkboard aside, we began to piece together all the information that we currently had. Sanji began the conversation, explaining how Satori, the priest, had attacked us and was able to predict people's movements throughout the fight by using something called 'mantra.' Meanwhile, Chopper had been left alone to keep watch on the Going Merry while Zoro, Nami and Robin went on a short expedition. Another priest, who attacked Chopper and had also destroyed The Merry by setting it on fire via a giant flame-breathing bird, seemed to have the same ability. During that time, Chopper had summoned the Sky Knight by using the whistle that the man had given us when we first arrived. However, the Sky Knight had been defeated in that same battle, and he was now in Chopper's care. Both The reindeer and The Old Man were, overall, safe and sound now. Nami had some better news, explaining that she, Robin and Zoro had made the discovery that the island was actually the other half of Jaya. It had been shot up into the sky by the Knock-Up Stream, just like we had done in order to get here. This meant that the city of gold wasn't in the ocean, it was actually in the sky; right here, right now.

If Nami's theory was true, we would soon be finding a literal city of gold up in the sky. I mean, I couldn't even imagine what that might look like. The rest of the crew looked to be in the same line of thought, excitement itching under everyone's skin.

Luffy had demolished the sky shark to nothing but bones by the time the exchange was over. Seeing the hollow eyes of its skull, I handed my unfinished piece back to him, appetite demoralized. He beamed, snatching it from my hands and practically swallowing it whole.

"Well," Usopp shouted, looking determined, "Based on your reports, we've learned: The priests can predict our movements using a power they call mantra. However, the biggest discovery is this!"
