Josh's P.O.V
Today her eyes were a dark grey, most of the time they were bright. They were even more beautiful.
She's so mysterious.
I feel so creepy sometimes. Just standing back and watching her from a far. I guess it is creepy.
"Dude, Josh." Trevor says. "You've been doing that a lot lately. Are you okay?"
"Doing what?" I ask. The guys and I are standing in a group at our lockers like we usually did in the mornings.
Michael speaks up, "like, blacking out. Staring off into space."
Hunter decides he needs to say something too, "yeah, you look like a crazed maniac."
"Shut up guys. I just haven't felt well lately." It wasn't really a full on lie. I didn't feel good, I had it bad for Jayna.
"Seems to me like you got yourself a crush." Trevor chirps.
"Yeah," Hunter laughs, "who is she?"
"Kayla? Caity? Or Jessica? Jessica's pretty hot." Michael says with a smirk.
"No, seriously guys?" I glare at them.
"What? Michael's right Josh. Jessica's has the biggest tits of any girl in our school." Trevor laughs. I smack him on the arm and try to hide my grin.
"Perverts." I mumble.
"What happened to old Josh? The guy that used to be fun and shit?" Hunter buts in.
"And shit?" I question. "Listen guys, I'm just not in the mood." I say and turn to walk away.
"Where are you going?" Trevor asks.
"To the bathroom." I call back.
I go to the bathroom, and after I walk out. I hear something so I stop."You're such a loser, do you even speak?" Some girl says, I wait for a response from the other person. Nothing comes. "You're like a fucking robot, a nobody. Do you even feel anything, like this?" The person slaps the other. "Nobody even cares about you." Then I hear a whimper. I'm guessing it's coming from the person getting bullied. That's when I decide to step in.
I turn the corner and almost pass out at what I see. Carly Wess is standing over a crying Jayna. I almost burst.
I mean, I don't know Jayna. But I know she's not a girl to cause trouble. So why would anybody pick on her? I walk up to Carly not really having a plan.
"Hey, what are you doing?" I stand in front of Jayna, "protecting" her. Jayna is currently on the floor. I'm guessing from the impact of Carly's slap.
"None of your business." She smirks.
I turn around and give my hand to Jayna. She looks up at me with those big grey eyes. She is not a nobody, those eyes hold a lot of secrets. Tears mark her cheeks.
Within seconds she's up, rejecting my hand. Then she's running to the girls bathroom.
I turn back to Carly. "Why?"
"Because it's fun to pick on a pick of trash."
"Whatever." I mutter and walk away to my first period class. Hoping the Jayna, the mysterious girl is okay.

Jayna's P.O.V
I told myself I wouldn't cry. I said I wouldn't cry if it got this bad.
I sit on the toilet with the lid down. Gosh, I'm such an idiot for crying. That just attracted attention. That and it attracted Josh Anderson. I've seen him a few times, and I think he's in some of my classes. English, and chemistry. He's always with those other three guys. I think their names are Michael, Tervor, and Hunter? They aren't super, super popular. But they're still pretty up there.
How humiliating, he'll probably tell everyone and I'll get more bullies.
I blow my nose on a piece of toilet paper, and throw it in the trash can.
The second period bell rings. So I look in the mirror for a quick check.
I try smiling. Nope, still ugly.
I walk out of the girls restroom and put my head down. I walk into second period english. I look up and my grey eyes make contact with deep green ones. Josh Anderson. I quickly avert my gaze. I sit in the back corner and try to focus on our teacher.
Focus, focus.
