Year 791.

Hargeon Port.

Seven years have passed since Natsu and his friends disappeared alongside Tenrou Island.

—A youthful man with spiky black hair stood alongside a woman with vibrant green hair, both of them patiently awaiting the arrival of two figures. As the figures drew nearer, the young man spoke with a chuckle, "Finally! I was starting to think you two were going to spend the whole day gazing at the sea." He paused briefly before continuing, "Our job's done. Let's make our way back to the guild."

The eldest of the two figures apologized for their tardiness, while the younger remained silent. Just as they were about to depart, the younger one turned back for one last glance at the sea. "Sheesh," remarked the woman with green hair, breaking the silence.

"We're late again. Macao is going to worry... again" sighed the spiky-haired man, emphasizing the last word, "Macao asked us to look after you, Romeo"

This man is Alzack Connell of Fairy Tail.

The woman who was alongside him was Bisca Connell.

"Alzack, Bisca," the eldest of the figures spoke, her tone soft but firm, a signal that meant to give the boy some time.

This woman is Wendy Marvell, and the boy who is by her side is Romeo Conbolt.

Romeo gazed out at the sea, a wistful sigh escaping his lips. Wendy placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "I know," she murmured, pausing a moment before adding, "I miss them too."

As the four of them walk through the streets of Magnolia, the town seems to have changed very little in the past seven years. The sounds of children playing in the streets, merchants setting up their stalls and the faint hum of magic in the air seem to never change. Wendy took a deep breath, the familiar scent of the city always lifted her spirits.

Glancing back at Romeo, she noticed him eyeing a display of pastries. "Do you want one, Romeo?" she asked, prompting a shy blush to spread across his cheeks as he looked away.

"N-no, we need to save money for the guild" Romeo replied earnestly. It was true that the guild's funds were dwindling, with fewer jobs available compared to before. Despite this, Wendy wanted to bring a smile to Romeo's face. She purchased a pastry and held it out to him. "Here, consider it a treat for a job well done," she said warmly, offering him the sweet.

Romeo eagerly accepted the pastry, beaming. "Thanks, Master Wendy," his voice warm with appreciation.

Wendy was caught off guard and nervously scratched her cheek, a slight blush tinting her face. "Just call me Wendy, Romeo. You know I'm not used to titles and that Macao is the guild master" she replied, her voice tinged with embarrassment.

Romeo took a bite of the pastry, giving Wendy a deadpan look. "You used to call everyone by their titles, Master" he pointed out, his words slightly muffled by the pastry.

Caught in a moment of self-awareness, Wendy stuttered, "T-that was different" her explanation trailing off into the bustling atmosphere of Magnolia.

As Alzack and Bisca trailed closely behind the duo, they couldn't help but chuckle at the dispute between student and teacher. "Can you believe that she used to be so shy when she was younger?" Bisca said while looking at Wendy, who was still arguing with Romeo, "Well... I wouldn't say she had changed a lot" Added Alzack.

Even if some members of the guild wanted to deny it, Wendy had changed. If someone had to guess, they would say that Wendy right now was taller than Levy, probably as tall as Lucy. Wendy still has her long hair, except she now picks it up in a high ponytail, with two strands of hair hanging down on each side of her face.
