                                  DJ in the Bushes

There was exactly no reason to believe an unknown call DJ had received earlier, the detective saw no point in believing the content of the conversation he had held with the person on the other side whatsoever. It was better to ignore the caller as well as the threat of his life being in danger because, to DJ, it did not make any sense.

So that’s what the boy did, he dismissed the strange call like anyone would in his shoes.

But the point remains where it was.

Who was that man who knew the detective, knew about his involvement in Yael’s case and now knew about a possible murder of the very existence of Jerry?

The sane and opposing part of the brain wasn’t really appreciative of the way DJ chose to ignore the death threat. Lord Yael wasn’t just anyone; he was an important personality in the mafia, hell he was the Crime Lord of the Biggest Crime Syndicate Pyro.

Who can be as important as him?

Perhaps, there is someone that doesn’t want him as important.

Could they be the one threatening the little detective for his life?

The detective’s detective instincts emerged in their pure sceptical nature and encouraged the boy to wait and see if the caller was anywhere right about what he had said.

The decision followed trouble, he knew it, but it seemed to be the more reliable option than to leisurely walk into a well-planned trap. The situation about Yael and his abduction was undoubtedly doubtful and Jerry had no reservations about it, the boy wasn’t ready to sit like a duck and wait for his demise.

Unfortunately, the young boy was dragged among those who were caged in the unwelcomed and dangerous scenario, regarding finding the lord, without the consent of his mind and body.

What to do now?

The unknown caller has offered to help him through his journey towards Malia and to the rescue of lord Yael. But, according to DJ, what are the chances of that offer to manifest as a pure blessing or a misfortune in disguise?

The boy was sceptical as well as confused with all that was going on. He could not refuse the lords in order to save his ass and could not find the courage to travel all the way to Malia where he is sure of getting hurt one way or the other.

In pure distress and sudden conflicting situations, the detective was once again crying. He slumped on the ground beside his packed luggage and was shedding tears of helplessness in the quiet room.

He didn’t register when his eyes went heavy with sleep and started to close on their own, the younger boy yawned adorably, stretching his small limbs, before getting comfortable against his bag. Slowly, he let his eyes close in ease, clutching at his dear phone for life, and went into the dreamland.

……..

There was still no light outside and the sky was dark when he snapped open his eyes. Looking at the time in his handphone, the boy realised that he had been sleeping for two hours, making his eyes go wide.

The detective then jumped on his feet and gathered whatever was necessary for him to take along with him. He hasn’t decided to follow the advice of the unknown caller yet but the boy was adamant about not showing up at the lords at any cost.

Just like his dear best friend would do.

The lords screamed danger besides, there was something odd going on in their family, something shady.

There was no plan to act for. Yes, there wasn’t. The detective only wanted to see if the strange man on his phone was telling the truth or not, and only after solving his doubts that the boy would decide on what to do next.
