Kine
Oh my god, my ass hurts.
A headache lurked behind my eyes as I forced them open in the dark room. It took me a few minutes to clear my vision, then find a clock.
11 A.M.
Wait a second. Moving a little, I felt strong arms locked around me and looked up. Nagol was out cold, leaning up against the wall where he sat with me in his lap. We were in the living room, though I definitely remember having moved to the bedroom at some point. And maybe the bathroom... and kitchen. My face burned as I pressed it against his firm chest, allowing his steady breathing to calm my nerves as it slowly pushed at my forehead with each inhale.
"I've got to get to work, love."
My head jerked up, eyes wide as they met Nagol's half-open ones.
Damn, if that's not the look of a content cat, I don't know what is.
Definitely content, my delicious pup.
My mouth dropped open and I squirmed, trying my hardest to get out of his lap before my face became the color of a cherry!
"It's alright, you're just overprojecting your thoughts... and maybe I'm a little more sensitive to them because of our fun last night."
His lips twitched up into a smirk and I bit my lower lip to keep from growling.
"Oh now, don't be a sourpussy. Here, I'll cheer you up."
Before I could even question what he meant by cheering me up, his tongue was on my face, licking a path straight up to my left eye. I closed it just in time, shivering as a faint trail of saliva was left in its sandpapery wake.
Ewww.
"Somehow my cheerfulness is not rising," I groaned, trying to nip at his tongue but missing three times in a row. My fourth try, however, had me catching it, only for Nagol to shove it into my mouth. The action got a surprised squeak from me, but I did enjoy the short-lived kiss before Nagol stood, bringing me to my feet.
"Gonna take a really quick shower, then you can take as long as you want."
I frowned, following him as he headed toward the bathroom.
"I want to come."
My words had him halting immediately, feet stopping just before the entrance as he turned.
"What?"
The look on his face told me that I was being stupid. Or maybe completely idiotic. Either way, I knew it was because Tawny was going to be there, and even after a shower, there was no doubt in my mind that he would be able to tell what we had been doing all night.
Well, bring it on, you spotted whore.
Squaring my shoulders, I narrowed my eyes and promptly stalked past him into the room to get the water started. "I'm going whether you drive me or I walk."
He was behind me in a second, his hands on my waist, digging in just enough to make the pressure begin to feel uncomfortable. "He'll smell it," Nagol whispered against my cheek as he nuzzled it, making me growl quietly with contentment.
"And he won't when it comes to you?"
His body tensed, and worry suddenly weighed down our connection.
"I..." he tried, only managing to get out the one small word. When he tried and failed to speak two more times, I just stepped into the shower and began washing. He joined me a moment later, but I could tell that he was still trying to figure out a way to change my mind about going. It wasn't going to happen. I owed him money and I wasn't worried that Tawny might get me. Tanner was the only one that bothered me by any means, but if he ended up returning, then so be it.
