Hearts of Rain

Trickling down

pounding loud

upon the eaves

Cold dark rain

immerses in toxin

as one soul grieves

Another night alone.

Liquid glass

this evening falls

Unyielding torrent,

 night owl calls.

Yet, who will answer

if, at all?

Tempests wail and moan.

Through dense blanket

of hung clouds

Heaven sings

it's starlight song

Dazzling above

that looming shroud

Eternal Glory,

Expanse beyond.

Souls in awe

and spirits danced

Hearts abandoned

with one glance

So would we journey

if we had the chance,

forsaking the rain

and nights alone?
