"You know what girl? It actually suits you way more than the blonde did" Yizhuo said with a smile through the face time call as the two girls finally washed out their black hair dye

"I'm gonna miss your red hair though" Arin replied and she giggled

"Minjeong keeps giving out to me for copying her...the bitch will literally not shut the fuck up" Yizhuo said and Arin snickered knowing that Yizhuo was by far one of the more talkative ones in the group than Minjeong ever was

"Girl by the way...did you see the comments under Kunhang's tiktok with you? Everyone thinks you're together and teaming up against Jeno—which the majority are totally supportive of anyway" Yizhuo said, turning on her hair dryer and Arin did the same, deciding to talk to her intervals—a typical girlhood experience.

"Just how famous is Jeno around here for people to even give this much of a fuck" she muttered, brushing through her half dry long black strands, wondering if she should get it cut short to the length she had been hoping for

"Well all the guys know him from the football team and all the girls know him for his big d— sorry." Yizhuo said nervously, blowing the hairdryer onto her strands again

"I'm hanging up." Arin muttered, listening to the girl laugh from the other end as she ended the call. She looked in the mirror at her familiar reflection. The last time she had dark hair flowing down to her back, her boyfriend at the time couldn't help but express his lover for the look. Except this time she couldn't help but hate it, she needed the change.

She let out a sigh, feeling her eyes weigh down with tiredness. She eventually found herself sunk down in Haechan's sheets, trying her best to fall asleep to a relaxing playlist instead of focusing on the scent of the duvet and pillow. It was peaceful and she was two seconds away from sleep until a heavy weight practically planted itself behind her, wrapping their arms around her from the back. She widened her eyes and hurriedly pulled off her earphones, hearing a familiar voice mumble behind her.

"I love you so much" Haechan mumbled, arms wrapping tighter around her while the statement itself was enough to hit the wind out of her lungs.

She pushed his arms off a little, to no avail really, before turning around to face him with a shocked expression.

"What did you say?" She asked, and he hummed, lazily opening his eyes to meet her to a giddy expression

"You're not Jaemin" he mumbled with a lazy and drunken smile. She breathed out a sigh of relief almost, heart clenching in her chest for no apparent reason

"Woah...you look just like Arin" he chuckled lowly, closing his eyes from the weight of his lids with an idiotic smile still planted on his lips

"Yeah...I'm actually her twin sister Rina" Arin deadpanned, rolling her eyes and turning back around to her original position, hating how he only hugged her even tighter and clung onto her for warmth. Her breath hitched in her throat, blinking frantically as she processed that he was too drunk to even tell his dorm apart from Jaemin's across the hall

"Rina...you're really hot" he mumbled into her neck with a silly giggle escaping his lips and few seconds after and she sighed, deciding to close her eyes and just ignore him.

"Arin's hotter though." He added honestly, the smell of alcohol overpowering the natural scent of him on his bed sheets, but the musky cologne he wore tonight made up for it

"That girl really knows how to mess with me" he sighed, groaning a little at the deluded thought of her, talking about her as if she wasn't the one he was holding right now

"Shes so good to me and she's actually pretty fun to be around" he said with a fond and lazy smile piercing through his words

"Thats not happening anytime soon with Jeno around anyway" he said, letting out a deep exhale making her roll her eyes at his statement

"Theyre just friends." She corrected but he was quick to snicker and brush it off

"Yeah right...let me tell you a secret—but please don't tell Arin" he said quickly, taking an arm off her body to hold his pinky up infront of her

"I won't" she replied simply, intrigued by his words out of curiosity, wrapping her pinky around his. He lazily slammed their hands onto the mattress, his resting on top of hers and taking the time to interlock their fingers together out of muscle memory

"Jeno told me he had lunch with Arin and the feelings were still there...for him anyway. Pissed me off so much because I'm the one that actually knows her these days. Poor guy...he still likes her. I guess it's pretty hard to forget your first love" Haechan said with a sigh, speaking out of experience and she could tell. Her heart did sink however at his words, letting her know that the innocent friendship Jeno had proposed was far from just a friendship. She realised that was the real reason as to why Haechan was so pissy yesterday. Not because of Eunbi or anything else, he was pissed off and angry for her, not at her.

"But I honestly feel even worse for Arin...he was such a dick— I would never do that to her. I'd never...hurt her" he mumbled into her neck and she didn't even realise her eyes were welling up with emotions under a tear escaped the sides of her eye, landing on his pillow

"But it seems like no matter what I do she just hates me...like last night she told me to open up to her, so I did. I thought maybe since I was there to help her out with the whole Jeno thing she would just do the same for me...but she just said I condone cheating—like I got hurt too...I was young and I didn't know better" he ranted, and Arin took a mental note of how talkative the man could be in this deluded state

"She has a point but...she didn't have to be so mean about it. But I'm pretty mean to her as well..." he said with a conflicted voice, challenging every single one of his arguments

"Well you did want to be enemies" she reasoned and he chuckled, tiredness clearly taking over in his voice

"I don't think I could ever be friends with her" he mumbled into the crook of her neck, no kisses, no sensual energy whatsoever. Just a drunken mess seeking comfort from Arin's alleged twin.

"I'd rather have her hate me than see me as a friend" he admitted, his past experiences of ruining a whole friendship for regular sex was enough to turn him away from the whole idea.

"Friends can betray you...enemies can't."
