They crowded around Tia who blinked slowly, before staring at her surroundings. She bolted upright and rubbed her temple, sighing out loud.
"Tia, you're alright," Shivaay enunciated each word carefully, suspecting she might be feeling groggy. "You're in Oberoi Mansion."
Tia blinked, before speaking slowly, "Shivaay, thank you."
"Tia?" Pinky, who had been standing to a side raised an eyebrow, "Tu Shivaay koh dekh sakti hain?"
Tia smiled nervously. Shivaay and Annika glanced at each other. Omkara and Rudra looked at Gauri and Bhavya who signalled them to be quiet.
"Yes Pinky Aunty," Tia nodded. "The camp in Delhi had a lot of eye specialists and I got recommended a good doctor." She smiled, "Surgery successful thi, and meri eyesight wapis aa gayi."
"Eyesights ke saath saath tu bhi wapis aa gayi one-way tickets se," Pinky muttered under her breath. Rudra hid his laughter in Omkara's shoulder as Gauri squeezed Bhavya's arm to stop themselves from laughing.
"Tia, how did you lose consciousness?" Shivaay asked with a frown. As she recounted the events, he looked at Annika who subtly shook her head: Veer hadn't said anything about it to her: Kumari Rosy Rani. Shivaay turned back to look at Tia, "Was there a reason you came to Oberoi Mansion?"
"I had to talk to you about something," Tia started slowly.
"Ye kya kahe gi?" Pinky murmured to Jahnvi who gripped her hands tightly. "Wohi soch kar toh mera Oh My Mata ho rahi hain, Jethaniji."
"But before that," Roop entered the room with Saumya in tow. "Drink some of this soup. You haven't eaten anything in two days. Dawaai bhi khaane hain, beta." Roop placed the tray on her lap, eyes glinting as Tia dropped her spoon in surprise. "Do you not like this flavour?" Roop raised an eyebrow with a sweet smile. Tia turned away. "Chalo, no problem. I'll tell the kitchen staff to prepare something else."
Roop left, and Shivaay sat down beside her, asking gently, "What was so urgent that you had to come here? Kalyani Mills ke baare mein toh nahi?" Tia stared at him wide eyed and opened her mouth before closing it again.
Her heart beat furiously in her chest as the short video of her husband and son tied up in a dark room terrified her. She shook her head, "Nothing important." She smiled nervously, "I just wanted to apologise to Gauri especially due to what Tej Uncle did while I was here." She looked at Gauri who nodded awkwardly.
"It's fine," Gauri mumbled.
Pinky and Jahnvi sighed in relief.
"Let us leave Tia to rest." Jahnvi ushered them out.
Rudra, Omkara and Annika and Shivaay stayed behind, exchanging worried looks. None of them believed Tia but had stayed quiet, knowing that she must've changed her mind due to some reason.
The sudden thumping of feet and loud sounds caught their attention.
"Khanna!" Shivaay shouted. As the man came rushing inside, he snapped, "What the hell is this sound?"
"Sir," Khanna bowed his head, "The DJ has arrived."
Shivaay sighed, pointing at Rudra, "Rudy tu jaa and select the songs you want for tomorrow night's function."
"Meri shaadi pe main hii kyu saare kaam kar rahi hoon?" Rudra complained. "O, aap bhi chalo mere saath."
"If Om goes, then we'll need to listen to shayaris throughout the entire function." Shivaay rolled his eyes as Omkara raised an eyebrow.
