Happy V-Day from Kurou and Shiro!

┏━•❃°•°❀°•°❃•━┓

"I can't believe Kurou would forget this day!"

It was supposed to be a fine cold morning. Generally, December to February was the coldest season of the year, which was also perfect for a hot spring. And dipping in one while relishing the beautiful winter scenery could be exceptionally remarkable. Although Tokyo's winters were sunny with a little bit of rain and snow, it wasn't what Shiro was looking forward to.

He woke up thinking that Kurou had some surprise for him since today was Valentine's Day and he was truly expecting something great from his dearest husband. Instead, Kurou rose from the bed, brushed his teeth, took a shower, and kissed him goodbye. He didn't even kiss him fervently; it was a quick peck on the lips that did nothing but alleviate his confusion. And that confusion turned into anger as the hours passed by without a single call or even text from the man, reminding him why today was special.

Understandably, Shiro was furious.

"Calm down, okay?" His cousin Yoshihiro tried to placate his resentment. "It's impossible that Kurou would forget the day. I mean, the man worships the grounds you walk on. Maybe, he wants to surprise you."

The proposition seemed to work since Shiro calmed down and went back to sit on the sofa. Yoshi handed him an ice cream in a cup. He took it and started chomping, unbothered by the cold season. "You really think so?"

"I believe so."

Shiro narrowed his gaze. "Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be on a date with Raiden?"

"Can't you just be thankful that I'm here?" Yoshi scowled, "If I didn't stay here, you'd be ranting all day and most likely cursing Kurou or hiring someone to assassinate him. Also, why are you upset that he didn't greet you when you, yourself didn't greet him either!"

Shiro considered this. "Oh..."

"Oh? That was your answer. No wonder Kurou didn't remember Valentine's Day. He married an Ice Queen."

His cousin's words did have a certain effect on him. He put the cup of ice cream down on the coffee table and crossed his arms over his chest as he pondered. "But what should I give him this Valentine's Day?"

"Oh, that's easy," Yoshi said nonchalantly. "Lay on your bed wearing only a red ribbon and wait for him to come home. I guarantee you he won't even remember that you forgot to greet him Happy Valentine's Day!"

"I didn't forget!" Shiro's face flushed at the suggestion. "But I was expecting that he has some surprise for me this morning. After all, this is our first Valentine's Day as a truly married couple, and not just because we are tied up in a contract!"

Yoshi stared at him long and hard. "What if it's the same with him?"

He paused. "You mean...he is expecting something from me too?"

"It's not impossible. Kurou tends to exaggerate with his mischief but the man has feelings too, you know."

His cousin was right, Shiro thought. Kurou spoiled him too much that he had forgotten that he too might be expecting something from his dearest Shiro. This thought weighed in on him as he was unable to keep his shoulders from slumping slightly.

"I think Shiro's mad at me."

Kurou was inside his brother's car as they headed to a hotel to meet an artist that his mother recommended. Raiden felt the younger one's frustration and glanced quickly, "Why would you think that?"
