Having had her fill, Joana settled the bill and grabbed her bag to embark on her journey back home. The evening would have been great if a certain someone did interrupt her .
The guy also stood up following Joana who had plugged in ear pods to listen to her favorite band as she went back home.

Before she opened the car door, she felt someone grabbing her hand and unconsciously knocked him with her elbow.

Turning around, she was surprised to see the guy who had interrupted her evening groaning in pain. She asked in annoyance " do you want to die?,why do you sneak behind me ."

The guy felt the hair on his body stand ,he had never seen a beautiful lady but with coldness in her eyes, the way Joana gazed at him sent shivers down his spine.

It was like the cat had cut his tongue,he couldn't say anything at all,he knew he had messed up,it was his only chance to get her number and the way she entered the car showed that she was way too far and wasn't his caliber. She got the beauty and money, what else would she want from someone like him who thought was very rich?

He sneaked into his old model car Noah to escape from the shame, some people had witnessed all that happened to him while others gloated to his misfortune.

Joana felt like a deflated balloon when she got into terrible traffic, she rolled up the windows tightly to avoid robbers who snatch things whenever they're in jam.

She grew goosebumps on her skin whenever she thought about the perverted guy who kept winking and looking at her lips. The traffic officers started helping making it easier to make way for them.

Reaching home, the entire community was shredded in darkness, she asked the military man "hello uncle Peter!, what happened to the electricity?"

"The transformer got a problem but don't worry the technician is switching on the standby generator so that you light up your bulbs."
Mr Peter replied holding his touch.

He's an old man retired from the national army,he wants to spend the rest of his life on duty. He's humble and always ensures safety of the people living in this community with his team.

Joana parked the car in the garage and headed to the sitting room but found no one there. It seemed they were having tea at the rooftop which had an open garden.

She decided to let them be and take a nap in her bedroom until dinner was ready, she removed her shoes, placed her cross bag on the shelf and sprawled on her comfy bed. For sure, she was gonna miss living with her mom and grandma but when duty calls, you have to put everything behind like how Jacob did when God called him.

She drifted to sleep unknowingly, suddenly a silhouette entered her bedroom and rummaged through the album looking for a certain picture but was unable to find it.

Checked in every corner but couldn't find what she was looking for, Joana stirred in her sleep scaring the shit out of her.
Her heart drummed in her ears with beads of sweat forming on her forehead. If she had known that Joana would be back this early, she would have extended her plans for the next time.

Voices where heard across the corridor, she panicked as the voices came closer but a vase fell down saving her. She peeked through the small space between the door and breathed a sigh when the voices disappeared.

She observed both sides before closing the door behind her. She went into the guest room and took a sip of cold water. Removed the Vail on her head,it was scary but true,it was non other than Mary.

She stood in front of the window sill and looked at the backyard, all she ever wanted was for her son to marry the girl who was at per with their family but unfortunately he went after the downtown barren lady who does nothing but spend her son's money without bearing him a child.
