After a while of y/n trying to find Xiao they finally found him "Hi Xiao!" y/n says bright and happy as usual "Ah y/n you're here" Xiao says slightly smiling at them "Just as I expected you decided not to go into the city" y/n giggles "Well being in the city isn't the only way for me to appreciate the lights and beauty of the lantern rite" Xiao shows y/n a mountain "Look Liyue Harbor is just beyond this mountain".
"As long as I'm here I can see all the kites ascending into the sky, for me that is enough" Xiao says "Oh alright!" Y/n says smiling Xiao almost smiles it's like Y/n's smile is contagious but he fixes himself and continues what he was going to say "Y/n I invited you here because there is something I wanted to do, I want to release a Xiao lantern and I would like for you to be there".
"Really!" Y/n smiles excitedly "Mhm" Xiao nods and Y/n notices the lantern "Hey Xiao did you make that lantern?" Y/n asks admiring the lantern Xiao blushes slightly and slightly turns his head from them "Yes... I do apologize for its crude appearance... I have very little skill at this" "No, no this is very good I think this might be the best lantern I've seen!" Xiao smiles upon hearing this "You are very nice as usual".
Xiao picks up the lantern and y/n helps him hold it "alright it's time" they both release the lantern into the sky, Xiao sighs "Y/n thank you". "Before you go I would like to ask you something" "Okay!" Y/n smiles at him "Y/n can you promise me that you'll never forget me" Xiao askes softly "I promise I won't!" y/n says smiling at Xiao, Xiao decides not to hold back right now and fully smiles at Y/n.
