and the funny thing is i would've married you, if you'd have stuck around

Eren's car smelt surprisingly better compared to what you thought. After he'd offered to drive since you don't have a car you'd thought his car would smell of strong weed and be filled with trash considering his personality. To say the least you were pleasantly surprised to find his car very clean and smelling fresh with his air fresheners hanging from the rear view mirror.

A yawn left your mouth as you scrolled through your phone. The faint sound of Beware by Deftones played at a low volume through Eren's aux, the only thing to be heard through the silence. Your eyes stayed glued to your phone to avoid the somewhat, odd, atmosphere between you two. Though, it only seemed to affect you, Eren looked as nonchalant as ever, a single hand on the wheel as he drove.

You noticed another small tattoo on the hand he drove with; a spider. While you were contemplating bringing it up, Eren seemed to have caught your glances.

"What?" His eyes flickered to you as his voice rasped a bit.

You sat your phone down in your lap, no longer needing it as a distraction. "When did you start getting tattoos? Like professional ones I mean." Curiosity laced your voice.

He sat in silence seemingly going through his thoughts to recall when exactly he did. "Probably around three or four months after you left." He paused to grab his now down hair and pull it to the side. He pointed to the spot behind his jawline and underneath his ear where a small detailed bird was drawn into his skin. "This is the first one I got done. It's for my mom, though she wasn't a fan of me getting it at first, she's learned to appreciate it."

You hummed and nodded your head before pointing to his hand where the spider was. "And this one?"

"No specific reason, just thought it looked cool." He glanced from your eyes back to the road.

Nodding your head again you looked at your hands in your lap. You considered asking about more before settling on one in particular. One that didn't exactly fall under professionally done like you'd said before.

"Is your moon still there?" You questioned. He looked up from the road and a faint smile spread his face, though it was quick to be erased.

"Barely," he laughed. "It's very faded, but you can still see and tell what it is. What about yours?"

A slight chuckle left your lips as your mind flooded with nostalgia. "Yes, mine is still there, only slightly faded."

Silence fell between the both of you once again before Eren asked, "Do you have any others?"

You shook your head. "No, but I would love to get more. My Dad would never let me." A sigh left your lips as you leaned your head against the cold window.

"How is your dad? He still hate me?" One of his fingers tapped the steering wheel as he spoke.

You shrugged your shoulders, "Probably. I don't really talk to him much." You said while picking at your nails.

"Why not." The car turned as he pulled into the McDonalds parking lot. "You used to be close with him." He recalled the times when he used to visit your house. All of the times he would see you and your father spending time together whether that be going out and doing something or even just sitting in the couch watching a movie.

He parked the car and you let out a low laugh as you opened the car door to get out. "I don't think he likes the person I am now." You didn't mention that it became that way because of what happened between yourself and the boy you were now talking to.
