Hi everyone, this story is actually quite a serious subject, though I've tried to make it light at times... Unfortunately this is not very happy.
It is based on a true story that is very close to my heart and inspired me to write. I find it difficult to tell this story and writing always helps me to express my feelings and is a much better alternative to what sometimes happens.
I want to give you this warning, because sometimes people can find thoughts about self harm and self harm related things triggering and if this upsets you.. Or you get the urge, I beg you to message me or a friend or talk to someone. If you really, really can't help it, please be safe.
If you are someone who is thinking of self-harming, please don't. Just don't, I know you think it can help, I know it may seem harmless at first, but it's not.
You get sucked in to it, it's like a bottomless, endless pit and people will try so hard to help you escape, but you just won't see it. You'll push them away, and it never ends well.
If you're reading this and you do not self harm in any way, and you think you know everything about it from the rumours you have heard. Forget it, forget all the whispers in the corridors about the mental people who do it for attention, about those who are "fucked up in the head" about people who are asking for it, or deserve it, or are just so pathetic.
They do not do it for attention, they strive to hide it every second of the day. It becomes something you get paranoid about, if people did it for attention, they'd walk around with their sleeves rolled up, patchwork arms on display.
Some people do that, but even these people aren't attention seekers, they've just given up. They don't care.
You will meet people who are pathetic, and sick, and these people do it because they think it's cool and they don't deserve your time.
Just don't stereotype people and do not start it yourself.
You'll always regret it, you will feel guilty. It's possible to get out, but you have to let people help you, or you'll always lose something or someone. Sometimes that 'something' is your life.
I'm not trying to be harsh, I'm trying to help because I speak from experience. Please, there are people who understand.
Thank you.
