First Friends & First Christmas

Castle Aincrad, December 20th, 35th floor-

since the release in October, i have gotten insanely strong, my level has reached 55, and has stagnated, my fame has spread across all current traversable floors, mever once have i given much of a clearing speed than this game. in two months i beat my record from the beta, i had beaten 33 floors, of course i wanted better weapons that wouldnt break easily but i had a feeling they wernt avalible yet. I love the look of fear players give me whin i arrive in any safe zone. i had decided to find rare materials so i can craft better weapons. i was exploring a dungeon looking for any loot, from my side i hear a girlish scream from down the hall along with noises of clahsing weapons. from my guess, it was a monster trap and some players fell for it, i spread fear and death. not many trust me or even want to be near me.  the only ones who do are the brokers, smiths and shopkeeps.. but back to topic i decided i might as well save the survivors and rush down the hall,  apon entering the room i send my lances out and cut down the bearest foe. i look for the source of the scream and spot two young girls, one around my age while the other was much younger looking. i noticed them clutching a seperate weapon that didnt look like thier gear, i noticed it was a lance, a unique one i was looking for, Abyss Flower i land infront of the startled girls and end all enemies in the area as the door reopens after they all shatter. "w-were alive? t-thank you so much... but. our part leader sacraficed himself a moment ago... we got nothing much left" one of the two stated as i look towards them. the one who spoke was a white and black long haired girl with blue eyes, wearing simple light armour and wielding a rapier, a speed build from my guess, the other had medium armor and a short sword she had brunette hair and green eyes. finally the brunette spoke "Y-y-your the Void Goddess! please spare our lives mighty queen!" she exclaims as she bows with her head down, her friend joins her shortly after realizing that. "i am, and i saved you two" I state coldly. "we are in your debt, please if you want Col or anything dont hesitate to ask. we want to reward our savior" the black and white haired one states, while Col, the curency of the game was nice, i had plenty to spare, infact i had enough to spend on one of those lavish castles on the 74th floor if i wanted, not that we are at that point yet. i stared at Abyss flower, since i knew it would remain for those worthy enough to wield it. "i want the lance, hand it over and we can call this exchange even" i say, stating the offer to the girls, they turn to eachother and use the messeging feature in the menu to discuss things privately. i read thier messages as they were sent back and fourth 'What do you think, i know we just risked our lives for this lance and our leader was barely able to use it due to the strength requirement to use a legendary weapon, i say we give it to her without anything in return' then the reply came 'i agree, niether of us use lances anyways so its pointless to lug around something so heavy. agreed?' the next reply came 'agreed' and then thier menus both disapeared. they offered my the lance and i picked it up with a bit of effort and read its item card Abyss Flower: Luminal Spiral, the key of creation and the weapon of Cecelia Schariac now awakened by one of the Schariac blood the unique skill King and Queen have been unlocked. i then checked the discription of the skill. King and Queen: Summon two astral knights to your side for 5 minutes, King and Queen match the wielder of Abyss Flower's level, King attacks while Queen provides defense. a worthy weapon considering it also states Abyss Flower is unbreakable just like in my world. Cecilia.... Mother... Thier so similar. no time to think about the past, i nod to the girls and begin to leave when one of them grabs my sleeve and i turn to her in confusion and curiosity of why she stopped me from progressing, since i got what i came for i didnt need to stay since i already killed the boss. "uhm can we be in a party with you, your strong while we are weak, we would highly appreciate if you took us in under your wings." The blonde requested nervously yet boldly. i quirked up an eyebrow at the request but thaught about it logically, if i let them in my party that means sharing loot, col, a base and so on. i never needed help in the past and i could easily solo my way to floor 50 and higher thanks to Abyss Flower, i also still had my evolution potion i kept from floor 1. i weighed my options. if i had help it would provide cover for me when i go after bosses with many cannon fodder enemies. they could also be used for bait when i go after Laughing Coffin at some point. not even they are stupid enough to go after me, but thier becoming a bit of a problem, alongside other factions and groups looking to kill players. they would be excellent apprentices for my goal, and my first friends, i can tell the brunette was hesitant but seemed to agree with the blonde's logic. i sigh outwardly seeing not much of a downside to thier offer. i gain more than i loose. its kind of a win win for me. "Very well you may join my party, i dont havea guild or work under one. so if we want to do that we can but i get to be leader of both and call the shots, got it?" i state my ultimatum and they nod in agreement before i send them both a party and friend request each. "your names please, introductions are in order" i look at the brunette first "My name is Goldmary, its nice to be acquainted with you lady Sirin." she bows respectfully toward me, i dont mind the praise too much, guess she likes being formal i then look at the mixed colored hair girl "Im Veyle, nice to meet you" she stated with a slight bow. i nod "Sirin, thats all you need to know me as. my titles you should know, lets get out of here before more monsters show up" i start to leave and they fallow. this was going to be intresting.

its christmas day here in sao, despite now being able to get to floor 40 everyone is in a cheerful mood to celebrate the holidays, within the timrframe of the last 5 days i decided i would use what money i had to buy the three of us a base, i had plenty of Col. i was going to bring the two base shopping but they stated they had things to do. perhaps getting gifts for our small group. i guessed id have to do the same after i recruited them so once i got them to a safe zone to cope with the loss of thier previous leader, i went out to go commission a couple things. a sword and shield for Goldmary, and a rapier for Veyle. i also decided to use some of my extra rare material drops for thier properties. i went to go get the gifts first since i paid extra for an express and rush order from some of this games best player smiths. i decided to look at buildings across the current floors avalible, until i heard a roumor about a special boss that would appear only tonight, st nicholas the renegade, a play on santa, but from what i remember about the notificatio n i recieved from my info broker Argo she told me the drop might be a revival item to be used on a dying player. i had mild intrest in it but since i already have managed to not only protect but help my party level, i dont see much use of it. cool thing to note about my exp skill, it works with my whole party. so i can cap out at four people getting double exp. while theyare behind me still, they caught up rather quickly. im still in the lead at level 60 now, while they sit at 50. i send them a message to meet up with me. i found the perfect base after an hour of searching. it was on floor 35, it was fairly large with three floors and a more modern look than some of the other floors astetics. the price wasnt half bad either, a home, a place to return to, it sounded nice. i purchased it with no regrets and walked in seeing the place decorated not only with furnature as most baught building come with furnishings,  but it also had christmas decorations, it was a feature to have decorations for about two weeks in and on every building, it was nice and cozy. so i decided to try my hand at cooking since we needed a proper meal. after a few hours i finished cooking, im glad i decided to max it out early since my exp skill also aplies to general skills. i saw replies from the girls they will be arriving soon. Good, all acording to plan. after 10 minutes i hear a knock and go and answer the door, the girls stood therein winter attire due to the snow that lasts durring these events. "come in girls" i say ad they come in, they look in awe at the giant home.  "wow, i thaught you never had a home and here we are both wrong" Veyle says amazed "well your half right, i just baught this base for all of us it wasnt too expensive." i state as i begin to eat "please sit, eat, enjoy yourselves" i add on. they rush over and start eating then have the clasic face melting expession of having delicious food, i chuckle lightly as they dig in. i was actually going to go face nicolas later for shits and giggles, i was also told that he drops some other rare items since he is a one time spawn per year. id go out and tp back when im done, simple as that. i get up after i finish eating " clean up and claim a room. ill be back after i go fight nicolas." i state as i throw on a overcoat atop my dress. they nod and wish me luck as i head to the spot in question and see him appear beforethat black haired swordsman, he must want that item. i decide to stand by and watch them fight. after nicolas shatters the swordsman turns to me with the item in hand "its you, you came too huh?" he states sadly, i had a feeling he was let down by the limitations of the item. he must have lost someone relitively soon. unfortunaely the limits of that item are less than 5 minutes. "are you ok Kirito?" i ask him. he shakes his head and hands me not only the revival item, but a small gemstone, i see the desciptor of the gemstone and my eyes go wide. "are you sure?" i ask him. and he nods before walking off. i look at the items and smile a bit. i read the gem's description. i think i will tell the girls everything and evolve twice with this in the same day. Gem of Finality- Evolves the core of FlameScion to Finality Core, gain a increased undetermined overall stat buff across the board and gain mastery in various skills...
-Timeskip- 35th floor- Sirin Pov-
I finally arrived at home to meet up with the girls, i wrapped up thier gifts and walked in. they both handed me something along with eachother something while i gave them my gifts, they seemed genuinely surprised at getting one from me. they seemed to enjoy my gifts since i did custom order them from Lizbeth, my personal friend and smithy. i opened Veyle's gift first and it was an accessory for my hair, it looked like my hairpin from my old life. im genuinely surprised she could get something like this for me. it had a great stat buff enhancement on it so imideately equipped it. as for Goldmary's gift, it was alot bigger than Veyle's, opening it my eyes go wide seeing a gorgeous sword to go alongside Abyss Flower, it was a legendary weapon like it from my world. the Domain of Incandesence, the flaming longsword. it had excellent damage and a fantastic effect. Domain of Incandesence- This blades flames cannot be extinguished, this blades damage and effect are trippled when enhanced by the core of Flamescion.
I would need to reveal myself to them and soon, i needed to be strong yo protect them both  i didnt want my new and only friends to die in this death game. Time to get stronger.
