I grab ahold of my brothers hand and run out of the house. A whole bunch of people are outside ! All the children are crying, and the few adults there looked shocked. I see my neighbor Katelyn and run to her immediately. Her brother and younger sister are also there. Luke and Jess look the same; they both seem a bit off. Katelyn grabs a hold Lilly's and Luke's hands and tells me that we should go to our school. On the way, she explained to me that what happened to my family also happened to her family. Lilly, her sister, begins to cry, and her brother , Luke, also begins to cry. I know Katelyn is just pretending to be strong. She has to be just like I have to be for Jess.
We've finally arrived! We go straight to the cafeteria and hide in the kitchen. Katelyn finds some food and puts it into her pocket. " For safe keeping," she tells me. Being here in the dark gives me chills!
Bam! Bam! Bam!
We all jump to the sound of this. It seems we dozed off. But, what's that sound ? Katelyn and I go to the seating and find about a hundred kids knocked out on the floor. It's just like my dream! Everyone's dropping like flies ..
I tell Katelyn we should separate here. I only tell her this because I know what will happen next.
