Dream looked up at the stars and sighed. He loved coming here to Outertale to recharge. It was one of his favorites, being so peaceful and quiet. And he knew that it would never be destroyed, since it was one of the few AUs that Error somewhat liked.

He took a deep breath, breathing in the energizing positivity of the settlement. Such a peaceful place, and happy monsters, away from the threats of the humans. They were lucky that they didn't feel any desire to go back to Earth like every other AU's monsters.

Dream closed his eyes, and laid back in the starflowers. He chuckled as the flowers let out poofs of sparkles, making the sky seem like there were even more stars. This moment was wonderful, and so peaceful. It was exactly what he needed after that fight with his brother.

'Brother, please! Can you just listen to me, for once?? I want to make up, I want to get back-' Dream winced as one of his brother's inky appendages sliced at him, cutting deeply into his humerus.

'I don't care, Dream. Just do your job for once, and let me keep the Balance! You know that's all we're here for. Stop resisting it!' The lights in Dream's eyes hardened, showing his determination.

'That doesn't mean we can't be on good terms, brother! You know that too! Look at-' He cried out in pain as a knife struck him in the patella, and saw Killer's outstretched hand and maniacal grin.

Dream pulled the knife out, and felt dizzy as he watched the dark red marrow drip out of his bones. Why were things so hard? Why couldn't it just go back to before, when he and his brother could subconsciously maintain the Balance and be inseparable? He just wanted to be able to be friends with his brother again.

Dream heard Ink's voice, shouting something. His friend sounded scared as the Creator's hands wrapped around him from behind, holding him up. "Come on, Dream! Let's get you out of here!" Dream nodded, and created a portal underneath them. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Blue disappear as well thanks to the teleportation abilities granted to him by Ink.

Ink laid Dream down on the couch gently, and Blue ran into the room, holding bandages and other first aid tools in his hands as he looked at his friend in fear. "Dream? Is he going to be alright, Ink?"

Dream laid his head back against the couch, and closed his eyes. The pain was intense, now that the adrenaline from the fight had worn off. He just wanted to sleep...

Dream sighed, and sat up. He looked down at his knee and saw the bandage, still tightly wrapped around the injured bone. That was going to take a while to heal, even if he was surrounded by positivity auras.

He stood up, wincing slightly as he put weight on his patella. Why was it always him? He was almost always the one who came out of fights the worst. Was it because Nightmare's psychopaths just disliked him the most because he was their Boss's opposite?

As Dream stood in the starflowers, deep in thought, he didn't notice the malicious aura approaching him. He didn't even notice the shadow of another monster standing behind him.

He did notice the hands on his neck, though, and the fingers that reached into his eye sockets. He tried to cry out, to struggle, but before he could react, he felt his body go limp, as he fell unconscious. The last thing he felt was his body crumpling to the ground, hidden in the flowers.

Dun dun duuuuun!!!!!

Cliffhanger! *bows* It's my pleasure!

This is from DeadEnDead's Idea Factory, the chapter titled "Dreaming Dream" (in case you didn't read the description for some reason). Again, it's a sequel to my short story "The Experiment" which will explain a few things about Ink and Blue.

I am postponing the writing of my story about Physica for this, because I can't write more than one fanfiction at a time. I mean, I could, but I won't. Please enjoy!
