"..."
"...You still like her, don't you?"
Monica frowns, she stood up and faced Ross, she takes his hand and holds it firmly.
"I really don't wanna be involved if you both get into fights, so I'm just gonna stay... away."
Ross widened his eyes and shaked his head.
"No no! That wasn't what I was implying. I mean, I completely understa-"
"...Ross, you got me all queer again."
Monica just laughed and flops on the couch, she's upset.
"Look, Monica, I understand you, okay?"
"No, you- it's confusing you, Ross, and no, I told you this doesn't mean anything. I've moved on."
Silence.
"..."
"...Okay?"
"..."
Ross sighed.
"...Okay."
Monica nodded.
Silence occured.
...
"...so... are you gonna wait for her?"
Monica asked.
Ross lifts his head up and turned to Monica.
"Oh- uh, yeah, wait, where are you going?"
Monica stands up again and slowly walked by the coat hanger.
"Out. I forgot to work, I guess."
"Oh, uh, do you need a ride?"
"..."
"...No, it's fine."
Monica took her coat and looks at Ross one last time before opening the door, she just smiled and stepped out of the apartment, closing the door.
Ross was left sitting on the armrest of the couch. He was trying to process the most awkward interaction he had with his sister. But he knew that there still is something going on with her regarding Rachel. Ross stood up and glances at the door of the guest bedroom, and slightly hesitating if he could check if Rachel was either already settling in, sleeping, or about to come out. I guess, the third option.
Rachel raised an eyebrow she saw the look in Ross. She has no idea about the situation but she gets uneasy, but more on the concerned side.
"Sweetie, you okay?"
Rachel asked Ross out of concern.
"...Yep. Sweetie."
"Okay... I'm glad."
Rachel smiled.
"Okay... uh..."
Ross thinks of what to say since Rachel is back in the room.
"Wanna get something at the coffeehouse? I feel hungry, thirsty, all kinds of varieties of those words."
Ross chuckled.
Rachel grinned, she slowly stepped closer to Ross and looks at him lovingly.
"Monica had enough that she left?"
Ross frowned, then just laughed again.
"No... she just... went somewhere."
"Well, would you look at the place? It's... empty."
Rachel finally reaches Ross and puts her hands on Ross' chest.
Ross gulped.
"You know? Gosh, it really is an amazing night..."
