AFTER WHAT FELT like centuries, you had arrived in camelot.
you felt the floor rumbling as hawk's mama placed herself into her little hole in the ground.
you began walking down the stairs just as ban and diane exited their rooms.
when the three of you reached the bottom you witnessed meliodas harassing elizabeth as usual which made your nose scrunch.
"you're disgusting," you spat as you shoved your hands into your pockets.
ban snickered and diane blushed from the second hand embarrassment just as you made your way outside.
"you finally made it."
you heard someone speak and looked around to see merlin waiting right outside the tavern.
the castle was a few ways away from where you all had stopped.
you quickly fixed your composure and removed your hands from your pocket.
"nice to see you, merlin," you said and nodded your head softly.
she smiled at you.
soon after meliodas followed you out of the door and greeted merlin as a child would.
loud and obnoxious.
he was the captain though so you had no choice but to sit there and watch.
"so. what official business are we here for today?" meliodas asked with a chuckle.
merlin smiled at him and greeted him quickly.
"i don't think that's a matter we should discuss out here," merlin explained.
you nodded in agreement and she ushered for you all to follow after her.
she spoke quietly with meliodas as they led the way.
it was obvious where she was taking you, to the castle.
taking into consideration what diane said earlier, you began to feel nervous.
she said she heard the king was just your type.

you stayed silent as you all entered the castle, it was beautiful.
"merlin, i was just looking for you-" you heard a voice and looked over to see a young boy with amber colored hair and the most dazzling violet eyes you had ever seen.
your breath hitched and you felt your face begin heating up.

"meliodas, [name]. please follow me," merlin suddenly said which caught your attention.
the young boy stayed with your friends as you followed after merlin, trying your best to not turn around and take another glance at the beautiful boy.
merlin made you follow her to what you could only assume was her private study.
she shut the doors and you took a seat on an open chair, waiting for her to speak.
meliodas took a quick seat beside you and smiled at you.
"i've heard news of an unexpected ambush to take place during a banquet we plan to host in a few weeks. i need your help guarding the king," merlin explained.
you raised a brow and looked up at her.
merlin needed help protecting someone?
"aren't you an all powerful sorceress? why do you need help from a couple of demons?" you asked.

"it's not just anyone attacking us... news is that it may be the ten commandments," merlin suddenly said.
your eyes widened and you gulped.
"i refuse," you mumbled and turned away from your two friends.

you stayed silent before turning back to face her.
