A GOOD GUY AND A BEAUTIFUL BOY ✷ CHAPTER NINE:
WHEN YISEUL STARED at Suho her feelings were are all too heavy. When Suho stared at Yiseul his feelings were are all too big, all too painful. It was like a punch to the jaw, nails on a chalkboard, knife to skin.
Yiseul hurt but Suho wanted that ache. She made his head fuzzy and his chest pound.
Yiseul found it easier to simply ignore them, which is why she found herself at Si-eun's doorstep one Thursday night.
It was a bad idea. He knew it as soon as he had let her in—rather as soon as she had barged past him. Her hair had clung to her face, droplets of water sticking to her like the glue that held her tattered soul together.
Shivers seemed to rack through Yiseul's body, like huge tremors ripping through her, and Si-eun could do nothing but stare.
"It's not even raining," he remarked drily.
She felt herself shrink underneath the weight of his eyes. "I know," she scowled.
Yiseul's knees dug into Si-eun's carpeted floor as she gently picked up the satchel she had discarded in her frenzy to escape the biting cold.
"Then why are you soaked?"
Yiseul's lips turned into a smirk and Si-eun only glared at her. He didn't find amusement in her words like he did in Suho's.
"If you're wondering why I'm here," she began. "It's because I lost my keys, and my dad doesn't get back till late."
"You could have gone to Suho's," he dead-panned in response.
Yiseul scowled. "Yah," she aimed her hand at him, her tone mocking. "Always so miserable. Anyway, it's dark and, in case you haven't noticed, we live on the same block."
