I grab onto James' hand as he leads us to the bar. The music is loud and there are a lot of people around.

James grabs me around the waist and pulls me in front of him so I can place my order at the bar.

"Two whiskey net please" I practically yell at the bar tender to get his attention. I look up at James to make sure that is what he wanted. He is looking out into the crowd of dancing people. Well I guess he will drink whatever I order him.

"That is going to be $15." I turn back to the bartender and hand him a twenty. Taking both glasses I hand one over to James.

He takes a small sip and leads me to one of the tables close to the dance floor.

We spend a few minutes sipping our drink and looking out into the dance floor. I know that look, he is calculating and figuring out who his next victim will be.

I look at this pretty blond girl with wavy hair. She is grinding on this bulky guy. He looks to be having a good time. She turns around and continues to dance while looking into his eyes. She loves him, so they are a no go. It looks like young love and I do not think she will be sharing him tonight.

I turn back to James and see him looking at me.

"Want to dance?" He asks me as he finishes his drink. I gulp the last of my drink and stand up.

We walk hand in hand to the dance floor. He pulls me close and we start to sway to the music. As we continue to dance I start to feel a small buzz loosing my nervous.

James pulls me in and turns me around so my back is to his front. He leans down and starts to nibble on my ear. I sign as I feel heat traveling south. "Who is he that keeps looking at you?"

I look up to see Charlie sitting on one of the booths taking a sip of whatever is in his drink.

That heat I was feeling was drowned in cold water, I stand up straight and practically throw James off me. He stumbles since he was not expecting my reaction.

"Umm I will be right back." I make my way to Charlie never looking back at James.

I feel the nerves start to build as I make my way to Charlie. He never takes his eye off me. This can be really bad. Why am I even worried? It is not like we are dating....

"Hi." I say as I reach his table. I look at the man sitting across from him.

"Hello there." The name sitting across from him says as he tries to discreetly sizes me up.

I look at Charlie waiting for him to confirm my presence. We just look at each other in silence for an long time.

"I going to go to the bar and get another drink, can I get you a drink?" The man ask me but I just shake my head never taking my eyes off Charlie.

"So who is that?" Charlie as me as soon as the man walked away.

"His names is James, he is my best friend." I don't even pretend not to know who is talking about.

"He seems to be more that just that" He says as he looks behind me.

I look behind me and see James making his way over to us. We wait in silence as we watch James reach our table.

He reaches us and looks between us. Neither Charlie nor I say anything so he reaches his hand out to introduce himself.

"Hi, I'm James."

"Charlie." He shakes James' hand. I can tell each one put a little to much force into this handshake.

"So Sarah, how do you know Charlie?" I look at Charlie before answering James.
