Twilight's POV

"What the hell is this, Agent!? You should know better," Handler shouted. "I know. Please, Handler. Just listen," I tried to reason. "Agent Twilight, you disobeyed one of the only rules possible, how can I listen!?"

"I love her. I love Anya. What else can be done? After this mission, you can either let your most skilled spy go, or you can let me stay with W.I.S.E and my family. The choice is yours, Handler," I sighed.

Handler chuckled loudly as she sat in rage and disbelief. "I cannot believe that you're the one giving me the options here, Twilight," she growled. Franky stood nearby. "I tried to warn you, Twilight. I saw how you looked at them and I tried to call you out. You didn't listen. I did my work," he sighed, crossing his arms. He didn't dare looking at me. Was I becoming that much of an embarrassment? Even my informant wouldn't look at me?

"Handler, I can't simply just undo this. I can't 'unpropose' to Yor. I can't just simply stop loving her," I said, keeping my eye contact steady and consistent. "Agent. I understand what you're saying. This doesn't cover up the fact you deliberately fought the rules. It was for the mission, not your happiness. As a spy, such a thing isn't a priority, and I know you-"

"I know. What if I want happiness? Have you ever considered the mental health aspect of your workers? Think about it. How many times have you added more missions on top of Strix!?" I fought.

She actually paused to ponder. She stood up from her desk and left the room. Now what do I do? I thought with a sigh. I left the office and went home. She knew where to find me.

I opened the door quietly. The clock on the wall read 2:37am. I quietly walked to the bathroom to wash my face. I looked into the mirror. Dark bags hung under my eyes. I sighed and shut the light off. I knew it was wrong but this is what I needed. I opened Yor's door quietly. She laid peacefully in her bed, asleep. I shut the door behind me as I made my way to the bed.

My hand glided across her hair. I smiled weakly. She turned to me and rubbed her eye sleepily. "L-Loid..?" She asked. "Hey...sorry, Yor. I just...I need to be with you tonight..." I said, looking away in embarrassment. She blushed before spreading her arms wide open, inviting me into them. I smiled. "Are you ok with this? If you aren't it's ok, Yor," I said. She nodded sleepily as I climbed under the covers and wrapped myself into her embrace. "Goodnight, Loid," she whispered. I smiled as my mind slowly shut off. "...goodnight, Yor,"

...

I stood in Handler's office, Franky and the full-metal lady herself on the other side of the desk. They were looking through a handbook for W.I.S.E and their policies. Franky pointed out many sections, as if he had stayed up all night researching the issue. "So? What's the answer?" I asked impatiently.

The two looked up at me and then back at the book. "If you don't know the answers then why am I here? Can I go home? Back to my family?" I asked. Handler sighed loudly. "Yes. Fine. Go. We will give you your answer when we know," she shouted. I turned and left for home.

"I'm home," I called. "Welcome home, Loid," Yor greeted from the kitchen. I turned the corner and saw her. That alone made my lips form a weak smile. "Everything ok?" She asked. I nodded. She looked into my eyes, worry seeping away from them. "I know you don't believe me. There's just some stuff that's been going on at work. I can't really talk about it...confidentiality for my clients," I said. "W-Would you like a hug..?" She asked shyly.

"That would be nice," I smiled. I spread my arms out. "Aren't I supposed to hug you?" She asked. "I'm not the one to ask...I rarely get or give affection," I said. She suddenly rushed into my arms and wrapped her arms around my waist. She looked up at me. "Is this ok?" She asked. I put my hand on the back of her head and brought it back to my chest. "Yes..." I sighed.

"Open up," a voice called from the door, disrupting the peace and quiet of the moment. I let go of Yor and walked over. I opened the door to see Franky. "Loid, I need to talk to you in private," he said as he welcomed himself in. He grabbed my arm and began to drag me to my bedroom.

"Finish the mission. Then it is done," he said. "What is done? W.I.S.E? The family?" I asked. "I'll let Handler tell you that one tomorrow, it's getting to be a little later than I want to be here," Franky said. "You can't just leave me like this," I reasoned. "I can. I have to. I don't even know what's done," he said as he left.

Yor peeked into my room. "What did Franky need..?" She asked. "Nothing. Just had a question for me," I said. "Want some tea?" I asked. "Sure," she beamed.
