Twilight's POV
"Handler. Please. What is going on?" I asked in frustration. "We have found a...gray area. I'm looking further into it. As of now, your job with W.I.S.E is safe. Your relationship may be safe as well. The only thing that could be an issue is the child, Anya. We're looking further into it though," Handler explained.
My heart skipped a beat. I never thought the day would come. I could be...happy?
"So, do I tell Yor..? About my real identity and job..?" I asked. "That one is really up to you. I mean at this point, you already proposed to her which stands against the rules in a way. Whatever you think is best for the mission," she said. I nodded and took my leave.
...
I woke up in a sweat, panting. It was the middle of the night. A nightmare. I sighed as I got up and went to Yor's room. I slid into bed and nested myself into her. She brought her hand to my head, gently combing my hair with her fingers. "Nightmare again..?" She asked in worry. I nodded. "Get some sleep. I'm here," she said as I started to drift to sleep.
I walked out of Yor's room and towards the bathroom. "Ha HA! Papa and Mama were flirting!" Anya smirked. "Go get ready for the day, Anya. You don't want to be late," I said. "Where's Mama?" She asked. "She's sleeping. Don't wake her," I said. "Okie dokie..." she yawned.
After taking Anya to school, I immediately went home to Yor. I opened the door after knocking. She was still sleeping peacefully. I smiled softly at the sight. I felt her forehead to make sure she wasn't feverish. Everything was ok. She just was exhausted from work and probably from caring for Anya and I. I crawled back into bed gently to make sure she didn't wake up. I wrapped my arms around her waist softly and drifted off to sleep.
I woke up to my hair being played with. I squinted and looked up to Yor, who held me close to her chest as she played with my hair. "Hey, sleepyhead," she chuckled quietly. I smiled softly and closed my eyes in relaxation.
"Thank you for taking Anya this morning," she said. "You knew?" I asked. She nodded. "I felt you get up. Don't worry though, I went back to sleep almost immediately after," she smiled. I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her tightly. That's when I said something I never thought I would.
"I love you."
"W-What did you say...?" Yor asked quietly. I looked up at her. "I love you," I said, my face hot. She blushed brightly. "I-I love you too..." she stuttered. I smiled and continued the embrace. I felt a pair of lips place on the top of my head. I looked up at her again. "I hope that was ok," she said. I nodded.
"Maybe we should get up. Want to get lunch together?" I asked. She smiled brightly. "I'd love that," she said. "Ok. It's a date," I smiled as I went to the living room to give her some privacy.
She came out to the living, stunning as always. She wore black pants and a gorgeous wine red shirt. I blushed a little as this is the first I'd seen her wear it. "You ok?" She asked. "Yeah, you're just really pretty," I said as I got up to kiss her forehead. She immediately turned pink. "You ready?" I asked as I put my hand out, asking for hers. She put her hand in mine and nodded before we left.
We arrived at the restaurant and sat down. We ordered our food. "So, how do you feel? I figured we should talk about the proposal," I mentioned. "I'm excited. Though, I was thinking about it, I've never worn all white. I have no idea how I'll look," she said. "I'm sure you'll look beautiful as always," I smiled.
"I had a question for you," I said. "Yes?" She asked. "So, what do you think on nicknames..." I mentioned hesitantly. A heavy blush swept over her cheeks. "I..I'd like that..." she muttered. I smiled. "Ok...honey," I smiled. She jumped a little. "I-I like that, s-sweetie..." she said shyly. I smiled and took her hand from across the table, bringing it to my face as I kissed her knuckles.
I was never one to be intimate. I was also never one to analyze my own feelings. I knew this was love. It had to be. While we ate, I looked across the table at my beautiful fiancé. I sighed with a smile. "Is everything ok, Loid?" Yor asked. "I'm lucky to have you," I smiled. She blushed at my comment and smiled back. "I think I'm luckier," she beamed.
We walked back home and sat on the couch. "You wanna talk about it?" Yor asked. "About what?" I replied. "I know you're nervous. Please, sweetheart. Talk to me about your issues. Your troubles are important to me," Yor worried. She stood up and grabbed my hand, dragging me to her room. "What's going on?" I asked. "Lay down. Let's just lay down and talk. I'm worried about you," she said. I sighed and laid next to her as she caressed my cheek.
"Your eye bags have gotten bigger, it's nearly purple. Loid, I know you aren't sleeping much. Please, talk to me," she begged. I hugged her tightly. "I'm afraid to talk about it all," I admitted. I had never said such a thing. "Honey, your words are safe here in my embrace. I won't say a word. It's ok," she said. "Yor, you'll leave me if I tell you," I said. She shook her head. "Even if you had committed a great crime. I love you too much to even think of leaving," she smiled softly.
"I don't belong here. Please listen to me. Hear me fully, Yor. I'm a spy from W.I.S.E. and I...Anya isn't my blood related daughter, she was adopted. I never had a wife. Please, Yor. Don't be mad..." I said. She looked at me blankly and then smiled. She began to chuckle. "I'm not joking, Yor..." I said. She looked at me and pulled my face close to hers, sharing our first kiss.
Her lips were warm. They tasted like strawberry. I wanted that moment to last forever. We broke the kiss. We didn't move our faces apart. "I love you...no mater who you really are, Loid..." Yor said before going in for another kiss. I now know that I craved her lips. Her touch. Her love. Her.
