A\N: The title is from a Hunter Hayes song, title by the same name, give him a listen, he's amazing. I hope you Angels had a good Valentine's Day! Enjoy this Willicia oneshot.

It's Grace who initially shows her the short article on her phone at breakfast with a sad look on her face. "Mom," her daughter says, handing her the phone with an article already up. Alicia takes  her daughter's phone and reads the headline:

Chicago Lawyer name partner is engaged!

Will Gardner, a named partner at the law firm Lockhart/Gardner is off the market. Sources say that the named partner proposed to his girlfriend, a paralegal at his firm, two nights ago. There are no pictures of the couple together but whoever she is, is one lucky lady to get Chicago's 16th most eligible bachelor. Congratulations to the happy couple.

Alicia hands the phone back to her daughter, blinking back tears. She can't believe Will didn't tell her about his 'engagement' to whoever his new 'girlfriend' is. She thought they were closer than that, evidently not. She gets from the chair she's sitting on and goes into her bedroom, leaving her daughter to stare after her sadly and wordlessly.

She arrives at the office a little after 8:30, after spending ten minutes in her car. She bypasses the lobby, exits the elevator and walks past Will's office, trying to hold back the tears that have been in her eyes since Grace showed her the article. Will isn't in his office when she passes it, but she finds herself staring into it, staring at the photo he has on his bookshelf. She knows the picture he has: it's the one Will's roommate took of them in their apartment their third year when she turned up drunk and giggly after a night out with her friends, Will didn't hesitate in carrying her her inside just as she passed out and into his bed where he held her all night, looking at her as she slept in his shirt and her panties, a look of love on his face.

She turns away from his office and heads to her own before the tears spill down her face: their college days were long over, they had moved on, gone through their own hells, fought them side by side, together and on their own, but always fought side by side because they were friends, best friends, but that was before she broke his heart and ended things between them.

She knows she has no right to ask who he's marrying, not after breaking his heart but she can't help but wonder which Paralegal he's marrying, or if the article is just a load of bullshit, cooked up by hungry reporters wanting their name recognised.

After working on her new case for  3 hours, trying to distract herself from the article and Will, she leaves her office to get coffee when she spots him walking to his office.

"Will!" Alicia calls, running to him and walking beside him, thoughts of coffee forgotten for the moment. She needs answers before she drives herself crazy.

"Alicia, hey! What's up?" He asks her cheerfully, he's too cheerful for a Monday morning. She grabs his arm to stop him from walking into his office. She doesn't care that they're in the middle of the hallway where all the offices are, where everyone can see and hear them.  She turns to him, frowning. "Are you nuts?!" She asks him loudly, tightening her hand on his arm. Will simply looks at her. "Excuse me? What are you talking about?" She scoffs.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about." She snaps, Will just sighs in realisation. "You saw the article about me." Is all he says, she nods her head. "Damn right I did! Grace saw it first and showed it to me at breakfast and I only have one thing to say," she pauses, looking as he face turns expressionless. "it won't last." She resists the urge to slap him as she walks away from him, blinking back tears as she goes back to her office, her coffee forgotten, closing her door behind her.
