YOU ARE NEXT it said YOUR LIFE IS NOW MINE!

Wh-why me? Tommy asked back in his mind, what are you?

I AM MERELY A MIRROR IMAGE OF YOUR FEARS! The monstrosity stated, YOU HAVE ALLOWED YOUR DARKEST FEARS TO TAKE OVER YOUR MIND, THEREFORE, I AM HERE TO PUT YOU TO REST!

So is this all in my mind, is any of this even real? There was no answer. The blade pushed harder on Tommy's throat, he was beginning to struggle to breathe.

If this is all in my mind, Tommy thought to himself, then I can control everything here.

Tommy focused as hard as he could on his hands and before he knew it his hands were free, it was just a matter of realising that the whole thing was one deadly hallucination. He grabbed the handle of the monstrosity's scythe and pushed it away from his throat. It was hard, the monstrosity was strong, but the more Tommy focused on reality the easier it became. Tommy eventually gained enough strength to push the monstrosity back several feet, he grabbed the scythe from the mangled version of himself and without hesitation he sliced open its throat. Blood flowed out and the monstrosity fell to the ground. For the next five minutes all Tommy could hear was the sound of screaming, like a person being tortured as the demonic shadow slowly melted away.

Tommy then focused on the rest of his restraints to make them go away and he sat up, Tommy felt disoriented, but he also felt good at the same time. As he fumbled around the basement he found a small chain, he pulled it, the whole room lit up and much to Tommy's surprise, he found himself surrounded by dozens of wet, molding corpses. Tommy's heart began racing again, but then he spotted the way out. It was a small hole cut in the ceiling, it couldn't have been any larger than one foot wide and two feet long, he stumbled his way towards the exit and when he was there he stopped, looked behind him, and took a deep breath before pulling himself up through the hole.

As Tommy got up, he realised that he was in the empty woodshop of his school. Confused, he ran out of the school and bolted up the road towards his home. His house was massive and was surrounded by very large, old oak trees that towered over the house like ancient structures that had been made by giants. All traces of the sun were blocked out by the trees, making the house appear dark and gloomy. Not knowing what to do, Tommy went straight inside to his parents. He told them everything but they didn't believe him. They said that it must have been all a dream, enraged, Tommy went up to his bedroom and went to sleep.
