(Experiment Sanguis POV) I was born in space, and practically lived my life asleep. When the doctors weren't poking at me or testing my ability, they had me asleep. Sometimes for so long I would slip into a drug induced coma, waking from those was just as painful as any of the experiments. But that all changed a few months back. Now I spend my time locked in a cell, looking out a window. Into the vast space around the earth. With only my dreams and nightmares for company. Today I'm doing that too, seeing the stars shine brighter than the electric lights in my cell. I smirk thinking 'Their not locked up, their free. And they have a family and friends.' Unlike me. My thoughts are broken by the cell door opening "Experiment Sanguis, face the wall." A guard says entering my cell .I face the wall, my mind going blank until I feel pain in one arm and the familiar sting of a syringe in the other. I collapse, the guard catching me, as my world goes dark. I wake up to loud rumbling, my body shaking. I open my eyes to be surrounded by other teenagers. I've never seen people my own age before. All the teenagers are buckled into their seats, my buckle having a lock on it. I tug on my buckle trying to get it off. "They really didn't want to let you out, huh?" I hear next to me. I turn to the voice, seeing a teenage boy. "I guess not." I answer. "What did you do?" He asks, "What?" I ask. "Everyone here was locked up for some crime. I did arson, what was your achievement?" He repeats. "I don't know. Who are you, where are we?" I mutter. "I'm Murphy, John Murphy, and we're on our way to the ground." The teenager that I now know as John answers. "But it's not safe." I gasp. "We just have to wait and see now." John says. A video with a man I recognize as Jaha, a leader person starts up on the screen. Jaha is the reason I've been locked up and sedated all my life. I feel something in me and the screen cracks a little. I look away from screen, calming down. "Hey, it's better than getting floated right?" John jokes. I smirk, not understanding the term. The metal cell were in starts shaking more, as the lights flicker. "What was that?" I ask, "Turbulence, flying has its risks." John answers. The shaking continues uninterrupted until finally everything just stops. After a pause of realizing we landed and are alive, people start getting out of their seats. I try to get out of mine, but the lock won't budge. "Need a hand with that?" John asks, standing over me. I take breath, fidgeting with the lock before it just pops open. I stand up out of my seat, a little unsteady. "Guess not, come on." John says, going toward the door. I walk behind him, everyone waiting for the door to open. I hear talking at the front of the ship, before there's bright light flooding into the dreary cell. I look over everyone's heads to see a bright green. I hear shouting as everyone rushes out of the ship. I run with them, not wanting to get trampled. When I'm outside, on Earth, on real ground, I freeze. Spinning around, I look at all the green and sun, real sunshine, blue sky. I stop spinning as I get dizzy, "Taking it all in I see." John says next to me. I smile, my first actual real smile in years. "I didn't get your name." He tells. "Exper..." I stop, realizing not everyone here knows I'm a human experiment gone wrong. "Sanguis, my name is Sanguis." I say. "That's horrible. Sanguis, mouthful, san-gu-is, is, what about Izzy?" John asks "Izzy, yay, Izzy. My new name is Izzy. Thank you John." "Have fun on earth Izzy." John says, making his way toward a group of people I think are his friends. I walk over to one of the brown beam structures with green on it. I lightly brush my hand over it, it's rough, yet soft. "Never seen a tree before?" Someone says behind me. I turn around to see Wells, Jaha's son. Only reason I know that is he use to visit me before he found out what I was. "Wells." I run up to him and hug him. "Nice seeing you too Sanguis." He sighs, hugging me. I pull away, "Names Izzy now, new life new me." I admit, "Izzy, I like it." Wells admits. I look back at the 'trees'. "Trees, you mean like plants?" I ask, "Yay, makes the air breathable, better than the fake air we had on the ark." Wells answers. "How?" I ask. " Deep Science stuff." Wells says. I turn back to Wells. "Wait, if all the people in that cell were criminals, what are you doing here?" I question. Wells frowns "I got myself arrested when I found out they were sending prisoners to help a friend." Wells let's out. "How did the chancellors son get arrested?" I ask. Wells looks around before walking up to me. "I released your file onto the Arcs mainframe." Wells admits. "What?" I almost shout, glancing around to make sure no one heard me. "So the people know what my father and the council have been doing. To people, to you. I did it more than just for my other friend. I did it for you San...Izzy, so you can be free, not some stowaway." Wells let's out. I smirk. "Thank you, you risked your life for mine, I hope to return the favor." I murmer. "On the ground, you probably will. I got to go do something. Don't be afraid anymore San...Izzy, were free. Izzy is going to take awhile to get use to." Wells says. "Free." I whisper, as Wells walks away. I walk around some more, looking at the sunlight and trees. Soon I just sit on the ground, feeling the ground stuff in my fingers. I pick it up, rubbing it in my hands, looks like food. I put it in my mouth, spitting it out, doesn't taste like food. I cough up whatever bits are left in my mouth. "Why'd you do that?" I hear someone ask. I turn around to see two boys, looking at me like I'm crazy. "It looked like food." I answer, standing up facing them. "Its not, it's dirt, soil, it's food for the plants, not for us." One of them explains. "How do plants eat it?" I ask, knowing plants don't have mouths. "They... absorb it." One answers. "Like sunlight. I'm Jasper, this is my best friend Monty." The one with goggles on his head introduces. "Izzy." I say. "I never seen you before, what section of the ark are you from?" Monty asks. "I've been locked up most my life." I admit. "What about your parents?" Jasper asks. "I never knew them." I murmer. "Oh I'm sorry." Jasper says. I nod, seeing Wells behind them with a blonde girl. I walk over to them to see them looking at a piece of paper. "What is it?" I ask. "Its a map, helps you to tell you where you are, where you going, or want to go in our case." Wells explains. "A map, got a bar in this town, I'll buy you a beer." Jasper says walking up to us, Wells pushing him away. "Hey." Some one shouts. A group of teenagers stands in front of us, "Hands off of him he's with us." One says. "Relax. Were just trying to find out where we are." Wells says. "Were on the ground, that not good enough for you?" The one in front of another group says, who's wearing a guards uniform, asks. "We need to find Mount Weather, you heard my fathers message, that has to be our first priority." Wells says. "Screw your father, what, you think your in charge here, you and your little princesses?" A girl with long brown hair asks, looking toward me and blondie. "Do you think we care who's in charge? We need to get to Mount Weather. Not because the chancellor said so, because the longer we wait, the hungrier will get and the harder this will be. How long do you think we will last with those supplies? We're looking at a 20 mile trek, okay. So if we want to get those supplies, we need to leave now." Blondie let's out "I got a better idea, you all go, find a forest, let the privilege do the hard work for a change." The guy says, people agreeing with ya. "Your not listening. We all need to go." Wells yells to everyone. John comes up behind him shoving Wells saying "Look at this everybody. Chancellor of Earth." Wells turns to John, "You think that's funny?" Wells asks. John trips Wells, Wells gets up, them about to fight, people cheering in the background. The blonde girl trying interfere, before some one jumps down from the cell we fell out of. "Kids got one leg, why don't you wait until it's a fair fight." The boy says. "Hey spacewalker, rescue me next." The girl with brown hair exclaims. Everyone but a few disperse after that. Blondie helping Wells to the cell, me and the 'spacewalker' following. "What's a spacewalker?" I ask Wells. "People that waste oxygen in a space suit for walking in space." The blonde girl answers. "So Mount Weather when do we leave?" Spacewalker asks. "Right now, we will be back tomorrow with food." Blondie says standing. "How the two of you going to carry enough food for 100?" asks Wells. Finn turns around pulling Monty and Jasper toward us. "Four of us, can we go now?" Spacewalker says. "Sounds like a party, make it five." The brown hair girl from earlier tells, brown haired man from earlier also walking with her. "Hey what are you doing?" He asks "Going for a walk." Brown hair girl says. "Should I go?" I ask, "You can stay here, help me set up camp." Wells says giving me a look. I roll my eyes walking away, not wanting to deal with Wells bossy attitude.
