It is now the middle of May, It has been 18 months since their trip to South America where they discovered El dorado, Ward sacrificed himself for Sarah, and Big John died.
Life is different now. It seems so normal.
John B and Sarah are happy. They have a surf shop, Shandy Point Surf, where John B teaches kids how to surf. Sarah enjoys living a normal life but John B misses the thrill of searching for treasure.
After paying off Barracuda Mike, JJ used his cut of the gold to buy a charter boat and a tack shop that is close to the surf shop that John B and Sarah own. He also misses the adventure of looking for treasure.
Kiara started an environmental organization to help protect sea turtles by cleaning up the plastic in their habitat and help hatching sea turtles get to the ocean safely. After coming back from El Dorado She and JJ briefly dated but ultimately ended it. While they still have love for each other, it just didn't work out. There is still tension between them. Kie still hasn't forgave her parents for having her sent to Kitty Hawk.
Pope and Cleo are in a happy relationship. Pope is about to go to college in the fall. Cleo helps at Heyward's Seafood.
Rafe lives at Tannyhill with his girlfriend Sophia. Ward left everything to him. He got the gold and took over his father's business. While he is unhappy that Ward would sacrifice himself for his sister, he doesn't hold a grudge against the pogues for what happened. He wants to be a better man.
