🌪Fiveee 🎻
Klaus's newfound love of drugs did not surprise me. I figured with his tortured mind and quirky personality, it was only a matter of time before he offed himself or turned to drugs, or both. What did surprise me though, was the fact that no matter how intoxicated he was, he never failed to defend his sister. Vanya. I had come downstairs after a long talk with Pogo, to find Klaus yelling at Luther, attempting to make himself look taller to match the young boy's astounding height. "She's fine!" Luther exclaimed, somehow becoming even larger, towering over my stumbling brother. "She is-" He fumbled with his words for a moment but quickly recovered, "She is not fine Luther! Look at her!" Klaus said his name as if it were a curse, roughly gesturing towards Vanya, who was crumpled on the floor next to my favorite book case which was now broken in many places. Allison kneeled with Ben at Vanya's side, helping her recover from whatever it was that happened, while Diego stood awkwardly on the other side of the crumpled girl, fiddling with his hands and staring at the floor.
"What happened here?" I asked, glancing threateningly at Luther, who tensed, then back to Vanya. Allison met my eyes, fear filling her expression, she ducked her head and continued to help Vanya. Diego slowly made his way closer to me and Ben now squatted on his feet instead of his knees, as an easier way to stand up. They all knew by now, my care for Vanya, some knew more than others, but they all knew that my need to keep her protected - especially since the incident with Reginald - was the one thing I truly cared about in our unforgiving household. The last time Luther had messed with her, I ended up with Ben, Diego and Allison piled on top of me, Ben pushing my head down, trying to sooth me, as Diego attempted to remove the kitchen knife from my hand and Allison holding my legs down while simultaneously trying to rumor me. They were all on edge now, and when Vanya saw me, she got up as quickly as she could and brushed herself off, forcing a smile and attempting to cover the book shelf which she knew I would be additionally mad about.
"I'm fine Five." She said sweetly, her bangs which needed a trim, covered half of her eyes, but it wasn't hard to tell that they were welling with tears. There was also a scratch on the side of her face andone leading down from her neck, which I guessed was across her back as well. "Mhm, yeah fine." I said sarcastically, brushing past her, closer to Luther and Klaus who looked like he was about ready to slug him in the face, if he could actually control his body. Ben was standing now and Diego was significantly closer. Allison hid something sharp under a book and held her hands out calmingly. "Luther what did you do?" I asked, clenching my fist and staring at him. Klaus backed away a little, "Uh Ben..." I shot him a look before he could finish. Vanya came up behind me and grabbed my arm, clinging to my Jacket sleeve, her touch - as she knew it would be - was annoyingly calming. "Five." She said calmly, stroking her free hand's finger tips over my clenched one, "I really am okay, lets just all calm down. You, me and Ben can pick up the books and fix the shelf. It's all okay." My stiffened body relaxed and my fist un-clenched.
Klaus looked at Vanya for confirmation that she was truly okay and she shrugged a bit, raising a brow. He nodded and slowly stepped away from Luther, struggling to step backwards, as if even his feet were slurred. "That's right dog, back away when your master calls." Luther muttered.A/N: Sorry, I know it's kinda cliche to make Luther the 'bad guy' in Fiveya stories, but I needed to because I don't like Luther and because I like all of the other characters too much too make them the meanest ones. Anyway, onward! Everyone's eyes went wide and Ben sprung forward, but he was too late, I space leaped from Vanya's grasp to Luther's back, where I jumped at the back of his head, getting a good hold on his neck. Vanya gasped from the sudden change in my location and then realized what was happening, she ran to where I was clinging to Luther's neck as he gasped for air. "Stop!" She exclaimed. I realized then that it wasn't Luther she was worried about, it was me.
