This was his last chance.

It was Soonyoung's last chance.

His family was out of the makeup room, waiting for him to get ready before he finally walk through aisle with his soon to be husband, however, his friends were outside in car, waiting for him to make a quick decision which can either lead him to marrying a man he wasn't interested in or freedom from everything.

The way to freedom was so tempting that Soonyoung had to gulp down water after cutting the call, which eventually was from his friends telling him that they were waiting for him outside. Soonyoung was tempted, heck he would have ran away already if it wasn't for his mom.

His mom who was so happy that his son was getting arranged with his bestfriend's son. The marriage was stupid, Soonyoung thought. Arrange marriage was something he never wanted to follow at the very first place, he wanted to know his partner first, spend time with them and most importantly, fall in love.

He wanted to know how does it feels to watch the person God had fated to you for the first time. He wanted to know how does the intervening of hands increases someone's heartbeat. He wanted to know how does he feel to be sweeped off by someone's feet.
Was love same as they showed in dramas? Or something different, something that Soonyoung had never thought of before.

He wanted to know how will he be in love.

But unfortunately enough, after today, his dreams of having freedom over his feelings will be illigal to keep. What if he and his husband weren't compatible? Maybe if he turned out to be an asshole and not what his mom told him all these while, what will he be doing then?

His worry was quite legitimate as well. Beside meeting his husband in few of the functions, Soonyoung had never talked to him. Never. He does not know what his husband, well soon to be, likes. What annoys him the most, what does he prefers to do in his free time, what are the things he is allergic to, what are the things he is good at, what are the things he is bad at, nothing, he knows nothing beside his name, qualifications and some stupid other informations which were of no help.

He sighed, loosing his tie to allow himself a little air. He needed to make a decision, a thing which can either turn his life to best or worst. His heart told him to follow his friends but his brain reminded him of the wedding suit he had on, a symbol that his mom had expections with him.

When Soonyoung was about to bang his head on the table, too confused to even let his lungs exchange air, his father entered inside the room with a bright smile, the younger standing up in frustration only to be hugged by him a second later.

When his father did not leave him for good few minutes, Soonyoung thought of speaking up first, "Appa."

The tone was plain, as if Soonyoung had forgotten to put emotions in them. But his father, he immediately shushed the younger off to his own surprise, "You know little one, sometimes being selfish is important."

"Huh?" Soonyoung pulled away from the older with frowned brows and his father smiled at him, playfully hitting his arms, "They are waiting."

Soonyoung blinked for a while, confused as to what his father was referring to before his eyes widened in realisation.

This can't be true.

Was he dreaming?

Did his father just told him to run away?

When his eyes did not turned back to their usual size, his father smacked his head, "Keep buffering like this and you'll end up getting married." He pushed him towards the window of the room which eventually opens towards the back door of the hall, "Go now."

Soonyoung was still reluctant even though he was the one being pushed, "But mom-"

"I'll see your mom." His father sighed, "I know my wife is handful but she is my concern now. You have your life, go, enjoy it and don't look back. I'll take care of everything."

Soonyoung sighed, jumping off the window before hugging his dad and kissing him on the cheeks. His father though cringed at younger's behaviour, he still patted his back and watched him sprinting off.

The second Soonyoung disappeared, his father sighed, sitting on the couch nearby and rubbing his temples.

He took a deep breath.

His wife was gonna be so mad at him!
