[The scene cuts to Jade in her room looking up at the ceiling as Bloom paced around her room.]
Jade: "That's what he said?"
Bloom: "He said, "Tomorrow's my shift, maybe you and Jade'll need some air then too," the exact words,"
Jade: "We're talking about the same guy right?"
Bloom: "Uh-huh, Dane," [Jade sat up before the two looked at each other. The screen faded black.]
[The scene cuts to Sky and it was day, he had a sword in his hand as Jade stood behind him.]
Sky: "Where is it?"
Jade: "I don't know, stay close." [Soft growling is heard as they both turn back to back once more. More growling is heard before a burned one is seen at the end of the maze. It charges at them]
Sky: "Jade?" [Jade's eyes glow orange] "Jade?!"
Jade: "I got it!" [Fire erupts from her hand before going at the burned one, only for it to do no damage as it continues to rush towards them. Sky pushes her back before the burned one jumps and it turns into a mist and into a diamond.] "How many more of these weird magic dummies do we have to face?" [Jade picks it up.]
Sky: "As many as it takes to actually beat one?" [Sky puts his sword away before the two get up. Jade looks at him,]
Jade: "You're bleeding." [Sky dabs it,]
Sky: "Is it bad?"
Jade: "No, you... I- You want me to..." [She gestures]
Sky: "Oh... Yeah, sure." [Jade's eyes glow orange before her hair floats back and small golden cracks appear on her skin, Sky looks transcended as golden mist escapes from her fingertips and into the wound. It disappears]
Jade: "There you go." [She removes her hands and the cracks disappear.] "Good as new."
Sky: "Thank you," [She smiles before Jade looks away.]
Jade: "I wish they'd actually tell us how to fight these things.-" [Everyone is seen training] "We've literally aced every exercise but this one. Didn't you do a training day last year?"
Sky: "Yeah, but it was nothing like this," [Aisha was seen with Dowling.] "It's like they've gone full war games."
Jade: "Oh... Well," [She chuckles to herself.] "I mean, they were soldiers before they were teachers, so I guess it's very on-brand for Alfea faculty."
Sky: "Professor Harvey?" [He approaches them] "Can we get a hint?"
Harvey: "Every failure brings you one step closer to success."
